    I'll be away for this final race of the series, but admin duties will be handled normally in my absence. Good luck all. :)

    Congrats to the top two, that was quite some extraordinary performance from you two. Looking at the points I am best of the rest, which is not bad, even today I was definitely slower than Phil, who run out of fuel in the last lap? Good fight through the whole season, see you soon.

    Race recap from my view.

    The last race in the series was to be run on one of my favourite UK tracks. Croft. One of my go to practice tracks.

    Free practice showed that Kiril was fast here. Very fast. However I knew I had 0.2 sec on him but was not showing my hand.

    Qualifying;
    I made the mistake of timing the exit of the Pit wrongly. I was close to the car in front (didn't know at that time who it was) so I decided to overtake him on the out lap. That however saw me being close to another car in front of me. Needed to create a gap so slowed down. This messed up the tire prep cooling them down to much. Not a very big issue as the session would see me do 7 laps. 1 fast lap set a banker time. After 3 fast(ish) laps I needed to cool down the tires to get a 1.25 in. For some reason I wasn't able to get a real good one in, so "only" 2nd with Kiril on pole.

    Race;
    Having 2nd spot on this track isn't so bad as it is actually level with pole. All I needed was a good start.
    Lights on, lights off... Had a blinder start and Kiril seemed to have reacted slow. However, the car behind me (4th starting position) had a very similar start to me as the distance between our cars remainded the same. I was able to get into the 1st corner having the car fully in front of Kiril's. Nice...
    Then I noticed that the car that had the same start as me (Phillip I think) challenged Kiril. That was good for me as it would slow Kiril down.
    At the end of lap 1 I had a 1sec lead which is good because with a gap like that Kiril couldn't use the tow to stay close to me or even try an overtake. The strategy for this race was to try an create a gap of about 5 seconds and then controll the race without having to take risks. I quickly realised I was on average about 0.2 sec faster. Slowly build up the gap and when I reached the 5 sec gap stopped taking risks. Now since I change brake bias a lot during a lap I need to keep track where it's at. At some point I lost track of it, and had to check making me lose concentration :eek: ... Yep, went farming coming up to Sunny Inn. Was lucky to keep control over the car and could rejoin the track with a loss of "only" 3.5 seconds. This however had Kiril back in striking distance. So head down and get some quali laps in. Managed to pull away again and eventually won the race with a 3 sec lead.
    Good race today. Regretfully the turnout was on the low side :(

    Series recap;

    Hadn't raced at SRO for a long time, but felt this series was a good one to take part in. Didn't regret it.
    Saw some good racing with almost all of the drivers being at a good level of racecraft while showing gentleman behaviour.
    When the rare occasion ocurred of having to lap another driver there was never an issue as all knew where and when to give way or at least racing room. This is not always easy for the guy being overtaken.
    So overal, Well doen to all! And Thank You Ken for hosting this.
