Hi, wonder if anyone can help me here pls? I have managed to download stuff for most of the other race sims without problems but i have downloaded far more for RF1 than any other sim i own. As well as downloading links from within SRO i also visited Race Department and was like a little kid in a sweet shop. However i think i've dropped a clanger (nowt new there when it comes to PC's i'm as sharp as a marble!) because now when i go to set up races i am getting errors like this: "error opening MAS file PACECAR/HAMMER_PC/HAMMER.MAS" or "error opening MAS file HR_COMMON.MAS" I am thinking i may have to do a re-install and upload files one by one and test after each upload, doing that will probably take me until Xmas...2023! Any help appreciated guys, it's possibly a corrupt file?
You just learned one of the oldest lessons about adding mods to race sims Ray, you MUST test each one after install, be it a track, car or skins mod to make sure it all works correctly before installing another. AND never allow an installation program to overwrite existing files, without at least making a copy of them first so you can put them back in if needed. rFactor1 is not a very big program, so re-installation is pretty quick. Regarding adding tons of mods in one go, I would advise installing and testing each one to see if you are likely to use it, as there are some less than perfect mods out there in simworld.
