I need to take a pulse here to see if we have enough interest for a Championship !
How many drivers do we have willing to participate in a weekend AC GT3 championship in 2017?
10 Race's in ten weeks Saturdays or Sundays* at 20:00 GMT .. (*depending other events)
Races will be 60 -90 min depending on majority vote of interested drivers ..
Pick a car and stick with it for the championship & Custom skins for those who have them ..

Let me know by posting below !

    Thanks !
    Rob ..

Sounds like a plan Rob. Sundays work better for me as I work every third Saturday and 20:00 GMT is cutting it close. Either way, I'll be there!

If you are going to do long events like 90 minutes, why don't you mix it up a little.
Make it a endurance multiclass race with the P1 Porsche 919. Then I'll be there :).

Day and time is no problem for me as long as it does not clash with my rF2 Endurance series here at SRO.

I'm already racing at Core Racing in january and february in the abarths
GT3's not that fond of either and would need (much) more time setting them up properly then a week
(it has soooo many settings :eek::eek:)
but glad the ACleagues or series are starting here at sro :)

Thx for the feedback guys ..

As it sits now its looking more like Saturdays around 21:00 GMT so it dosent mess with JvD's Enduro series ..... Its still up in the air the key will be getting enough drivers to actually have a championship ! The last thing I want is to create a series and only have 5-7 show up ..
I was hoping the custom skins, and the most popular cars from AC would do the trick , but as we know the sim community is so fragmented right now its almost impossible to start something new ...

please keep the ideas coming ..!

Im also looking into a weekday series with the some of the other stuff AC has .. Escorts ,MX5, Tatuus ..some 30 min stuff ...

  11. Saturday at 21:00 GMT with GT3 cars sounds good to me. Even if the GT3 cars are more popular, I think it's good because there are so many to choose and they're good to drive because well balanced enough. Thanks to the Porsche pack with a GT3 inside, there can be even more variety.

If you consider 60 min races, we will need the PitConfig plug-in to change tires and refuel. If they will be for 90 min, maybe even two pitstops will be necessary, but maybe not, it depends on the tires softness that you choose. I think PitConfig should be mandatory because racing for 60 or 90 min is too much for one tires set.

I was thinking at least 60/90 min races for the weekend Championship.... I'm leaning toward splitting the deference with 80 min races !
I will check out the PitConfig app ..I herd of it but have not used it or even seen it ! AC's default pit stops are definitely less than ideal ..lol
If this PitConfig app allows you to set your pit menu while on track & doesn't have any ill effect on players systems, I'm all for it as mandatory ~!

OK I DL'd the PitConfig app. It looks pretty strait forward and a must have for race's requiring pit stop's! , This will make longer races with pit stops more enjoyable !

Here's the description from the author of the app:
snip> The app is used to configure the work to be performed on the pit prior to stopping the car on the pit spot.
    - Works on any screen resolution.
    - Does not require any external executable. All code is in the python module.
    - Identifies the tyres available for original AC cars and mod cars.
    - Works also on servers that limit the allowable tyres.
    - Does not require any button to start the pit work. You just need to stop on the pit spot and the pit stop starts automatically.
    - Option on PitConfig.ini to configure the fueling method. Set to "1" (Default) to ADD the fuel to the amount already in the tank or set to "0" to fill the tank up to the amount selected on the app.
    - "Fill" button available to complete the tank.
    - Preset system for different strategies. Presets are saved on exit and are available the next time AC is initiated if the car is not changed.
    - Compact scalable UI. You can increase the UI size changing the "sizemultiplier" option of PitConfig.ini. For instance, set "UI / sizemultiplier" to "1.2" in order to increase UI size in 20% (min: 1.0, max: 3.0).
    - Force the camera to keep the current state during the pitstop. Example: if you use cockpit camera, you will see the pitstop from inside the car, not from above. To disable this feature change PitConfig.ini "pitcamerachanger" to "0".
    - Hotkeys: F10 to cycle Presets, Alt+Z to decrease fuel, Alt+X to increase fuel, Alt+F to cycle tyre compounds.

Just install and activate as any other app. <snip

So as you can see it adds a lot to MP racing in AC .. no more mousing around after the car stops, getting pissed because you have to click & click& click while sitting there until it finally happens lol.. with this app we can pre set our stops as we would in a real races with our engineer ..or like every other racing sim .. <jab ..lol
