A friend of mine was feeling guilty about mistakes he'd made in the past. This was my reply, it seemed to help, so I thought I'd share. " Everything we have done, all that we have destroyed, all the mistakes, regrets, and cruelties, are not cosmic accidents. They are the inescapable lessons that we are forbidden to forget. In the end they are what makes us who we are NOW. Everything we do now, is the measure of what we have learned."
That's a really good perspective of looking at things. It's true we all have mistakes but it's not what the mistake is really it's what the mistake does to you after. I like it!
