Hello, Thought I'd show my home made gauges/HUD. I hope this gives you guys and gals a few ideas if you were looking to do something similar. Reason for this is the gauges tend to be small sometimes in the sim or not showing all the telemetry. My vision isn't the best either. I use the Sim Dashboard app on the tablet. For the tablet holder I use a door hinge purchased from a hardware store. To attach the tablet to the hinge and hinge to the wheel I use a velcro-ish material. I also posted two other sizes of hinges. A 4 inch and a 5 inch. Just in case your steering wheel is way below your screen or very up and close like mine is. Theirs different sizes of hinges out their so no worries their. These do tend to swivel so just pick the stiffest one when purchasing. You could also always use Loctite if it does swivel to much. Pretty simple and cheap. A old phone or tablet. My tablet is 8". I also have a second 10" to the side but use that for track positions with a map view on where other drivers are. I hope you enjoy and maybe get some ideas for your next project. Sorry but I don't have $300 for a stand alone HUD so I did the next best thing, made my own.
