SIGNUP & EVENT INFO Official TransAm website WELCOME TO THE TRANS AM 2 2022 CHAMPIONSHIP Tracks & weather All tracks in this series are chosen from the real TA2 2023 Championship. For each event we will use the Real World Weather of race day. Notes from the developers Storm Gang Simulation is proud to present for rFactor2: Trans Am TA2. Built from the ground up with input from Howe Racing Enterprises, Katech Engines and drivers like 2021 TA2 Rookie of the Year, Rhett Barkau, Mike Skeen, Guy Cosmo, Dylan Archer, Tyler Kicera and more. Their incredible feedback helped ensure this is the most realistic TA2 mod ever! Chevy Camaro: Based on the 2022 model, this car runs with the LS3 based power plant for its default ride. An overall good engine and well handling car, this has the best of both worlds for power and control. Ford Mustang: Based on the 2022 production car, the Ford Rousch engine is stuck in the front giving great response and confident handling. Dodge Challenger: The famous Hemi from Mopar is almost a memory, grandfathered in through a minority of select engine rebuilders. The Challenger retains the most consistent looks which herald back to its 70's roots. Only minor cosmetic updates have been given to this icon. Expect fast top end speed to be the advantage when running this classic. If he is no longer interested in the series, it's fine like it is. If he forgot about the event, he can sign up for the series again. (You don't have to unregister for the whole series. You can unregister only for the event you can't do.) **************************************************************** No Esc. on track rule in Qualification In qualification, you can not press Escape (Esc.) while on track (if you crash) and then go back out again. If you want to do another run, you have to come into the pits first. This is to protect the other drivers from someone taking abnormal risks to set a good lap time and crashing (other cars). **************************************************************** Teamspeak Teamspeak is one of the features of Sim Racing Online. If you would like to hook up with other drivers on Teamspeak before the race (or any time), here is the forum link for the SRO Teamspeak address and password: https://www.simracingonline.co.uk/threads/teamspeak-ip-address-password.19/ For those who are not familiar with Teamspeak, you need to add the Sim Racing Online channel to your "bookmarks". **************************************************************** Maximum number of drivers The maximum field for all 6 events = 30 drivers. **************************************************************** Please consider making a small monthly donation between € 2 to € 5,- to help us with the monthly server costs. Remember that Sim Racing Online is run by a private group of people, paying everything out of their own pockets. Thanks in advance !!
