WELCOME TO THE IMSA GTX CHAMPIONSHIP

    Grand Touring Experimental
Grand Touring Experimental (GTX) is a former classification maintained by IMSA between 1977 and 1982. Some cars were based on FIA Group 5 rules; such as the Porsche 935, and some cars were based on FIA Group 6 regulations. Like the original GTO class, the class rules specified turbocharging and supercharging was allowed on engines up to a size of 6.0 L (370 cu in); with engine design and number of cylinders being free and unrestricted. Engines over 6.0 L (370 cu in) were required to be naturally-aspirated.
There are no tyre warmers. You have to give the tyres and brakes a lap or 2 to fully warm up.

    Notes from the mod designer:
    Details:
Cars are all with real dyno spec engines and mass, hand tuned (proper RWHP)
Unique and historic matching physics per car
Historic skins with matching chassis numbers

    How does each race start?

All races will have a PARTIAL Formation lap.
The formation lap will be done in single file at approximately 120 km/h.
The race will start on the exit of Turn 1.
You can NOT overtake any car before you exit Turn 1 yourself.

    ****************************************************************

    No-shows

If a driver does not show up for a race without unregistering for that event or letting me know that he can't make it in the event forum, he will be taken out of the complete series.
If that driver forgot about the race, he/she can sign up again for the series.

(You don't have to unregister for the whole series. You can unregister only for the race you can't do.)

    ****************************************************************

No Esc. on track rule in Qualification
In qualification you can not press Escape (Esc.) while on track (if you crash) and then go back out again.
If you want to do another run, you have to come into the pits first.
