Its pretty usefully then it shows you e.g. temps for tires, oil, waters and it shows you the exactly amount of fuel and so you. The problem is that rfactor isnt pretty exactly with fuel. It helps me a lot especially on long races like today then we did a 3 hours race at Spa. Fantastic race only a little short
Oh okay. It might sound strange now, but I don't really like gizmos like that. I normallywork the strategy out before the race and if i need to during the race. I try to avoid unrealistic help if I'm honest. Although this isn't that unrealistic as most cars in WEC will most likely have these sorts of things.
I did run it in 1 of my rfactors then changed to rfdynhud the info is pretty good but now only use rf hud. I find the rfactor hud is pretty accurate with tyre wear and fuel usage.
But yesterday shows me rfactor i can do 35 laps with 65 liters but GID said it are only 15 laps possible then i need 3.9 l per lap. So helps me GID or any other tool to decide the right amount of fuel or tires and so i can save time especially at the end of the race. Thats important then im not so fast that i can waste time. Nobody has to use it of course but i think its usefully. Tom its not unrealistic then in the real motorsport you have tools to calculate some things. The only difference is that this do the guys in the pit for you and in the game it has to do the driver.
Porsche held 23 laps of fuel using boost 2 I was doing about 40 minutes per stint. Toyota holds 35 laps of fuel but Toyota uses more fuel that is why gid was saying only 15 laps that would be correct the modder of WEC done the mod like the real WEC cars only problem in sim racing we don't do 6 hour races that is how the Toyota gets it's extra pit stop back from using more fuel.
I have put it in one of my rfactor's and yes it is good you can see lots of information played around a bit and moved some of the widgets to better positions will use for the DRM race I will be on the server later.
Yes you can move it where ever you want and i removed some. Not all are really important for me. Can you say me how to make the size of the grid info smaller? Its to big imo but i dont know how i can it make it smaller. Btw how often you have changed the tires yesterday? When you are on the server?
I will have a look at the grid to see if you can make it smaller. On tyres I changed once I was going to go with hard but you would of had to change them so as they are slower I went with med and new I would only need to change them once.
Yes i did one tire change as well but started with med. Had according GID around 50 % tires left (the rear right tire was red) and 80 min to go so i decided to change, again to med. Maybe its better i use the Porsche next time. Had one spin after the Eau Rouge but small damage. No repair necessary but lost time to let some cars pass me. Always after a spin the car stand in the wrong direction haha
What wing did you have Rolf I know most of P1 had Le Mans Pack but i never use it I had 3 and 14 wings about 8 mph slower on the straight but in the corners I caught them back up ME I was racing when we done out first stop we came out together again but half way in to the stint when the tyres were going off he had no grip at all in the corners low wing losing his downforce then he had a spin. after that I never saw him again was on my own but great fun passing GT and P2 cars.
I used your set mate. I was feeling pretty comfortable with it. Oh yes its great to pass P2 and GT cars. I'm thinking about a change to Porsche or Audi. Or has the Audi any disadvantage too? An additional pitstop takes a lot of time and im not so fast on track.
Only reason I use Porsche is because if you use boost 2 you don't use that much fuel. I prefer Toyota done a lot of races with it but you have to do an extra stop that gives you a disadvantage of drivers in Porsche and Audi. Test them Rolf there is a WEC server up.
