As I said I'm new to the simracing world, I think I've improved my racing skills, I still have to improve a lot, but there is still one thing which is a mistery for me: the setup. I don't know where to start, what to change, why I should change something. I read a lot of guides but every guide says the same things: changing this will affect that and similar. But when I go on the track I don't know where to start, which parameters I should look at. So my question is: where do you start when you set up the car? Why do you change certain things? Sorry for the noob questions, but as I said, I'm actually a noob:oops::D

Nothing's silly when it comes to asking about car setup's Pasquale. I've been online racing for 12 yrs and still have difficulty sometimes :)

There are lots and lots of setup guides out on the Internet as you have already found, but I've yet to find one that explains how to start and work from the beginning, at least one that doesn't assume I know lots of stuff about it already.
I recommend you go here https://www.virtualracecarengineer.com/ and think about spending $20 on some of the goodies available. The creator of this software was one of the guys who setup and ran www.Race2Play.com for many years until sadly it finally closed at the end of 2016. Many of our members here at SRO raced there and can vouch for Tim's knowledge in this area.
It might not make you the fastest guy out there, but it will help you understand where to start and develop your knowledge, which is exactly what you are looking for.
