Welcome to the SRO LMU test runs!
At this time we are testing the server hosting offered by RaceControl. (only option)
What does this mean? It means we don't have or own a ded server for LUM as they simply do not offer one, instead, they offer an affordable way for leagues and players to host their own series and events using the RC servers. The upside is we can do this at a fraction of the cost of renting a server, the downside is we don't have a server up 24/7 to practice on like we are used to.. What this means is off line practice in the days up to the events ..

On race day the server will go live at the scheduled start time in this case 20:00 GMT for a 20 min practice followed by a 10 min Q then the 30 min race. We are using non DLC, single class, LMGTE's.
To join the server you simply fire up LMU, go to 'online' then to 'Hosted servers' Le Mans Ultimate Screenshot 2024.12.19 - 23.21.56.97.jpg

Once your on the hosted page you will see all the hosted events curently running Look for the Simracingonlin LMU server & join using the PW .If you cant see the server use the SEARCH bar . Le Mans Ultimate Screenshot 2024.12.19 - 23.22.15.82.jpg

We also have this event availabe over on SimGrid, as some of you know, and have signed up over their,;) We are testing this prosses as it has some cool featuers to offer, one being a lobby code you get that automatickly finds the server and adds the PW for you, launching you directly into the game . It also will prosses all the results and do the scoring if we so desire.
For now we are simply trying out the Hosted servers with a simple non scoring race where you only need the PW, (default SRO PW) however we would like you to register so we can exparament with how the results work in LMU but its not mandatory at this time for Test 1. More to come as we move foword and start to add scoring.

Thats it! simply fire up LMU at 20:00 GMT on Friday and search for the server ..
Hope to see you on track! :)

Server light on the main page of the website will go green once I start the server! Once its green your free to join (or anytime after 20:01 GMT)
As a test I will also post the ID # for 'instant join' to see if it will work, I think you need to also be registered at SimGrid but not positive lol. the number goes in the upper right box you can see in the pic above! if it works it puts you right into the server one click ..

Never used Simgrid before but looking on the event details i cant see about joining direct from the website into LMU.

I was late, so I downloaded the patch nevertheless.
I like the game. First race ever online or offline. It drives very nice.
Where can you see the tyre degradation while on track?

Its not from the website, the code is applied in the Hosted server list in game ..its just a short cut where you don't have to add the PW ..

Thanks everyone for testing tonight! we collected a lot of necessary data to use as we move forward with LMU.
I learned that the server does not wait for players to join to start the timer :eek: as you saw we only had 6 or so min left in P1 when we joined at 20:00..
There is no documentation explaining any of this lol it's learn as you go :D ..

    Nice pace up top!
I ruined my race while trying to find time:rolleyes:
I got on the gas too early in the "turn from hell" I guess it's T 1 out of the current pits but the last turn to the finish ..
I nicked the wall and it tossed me into the regular Pit In area that had a locked gate lol I was pinched in between the 2 walls and had to do a 5 point turn nack & forth to finally get out ..i had a rear puncher and limped all the way back around to the pit in to have some 2 min of repair lol .. Oh, can you get punchers in LMU?
Where can you see how much the tyres have worn. I can only see the tyre temps and if they're warm or cold.

Hope we get a series going with this mod. It's good fun.

All the tire info is on the Tire MFD page, map the 'Next page MFD' to cycle threw all the pages including the pit menu. You can see in the pic I have the tire icon highlighted for tire info/ Le Mans Ultimate Screenshot 2024.12.21 - 00.40.01.92.jpg
The icons have all the info for their category Le Mans Ultimate Screenshot 2024.12.21 - 00.39.48.62.jpg

Never heard of punctures, what did it show on the display? You might have just over heated them, it takes time for them to drop back down to normal

I got a drive thru though presumably due to an issue with the start procedure but enjoyed the racing. Would be great to get a series going :)
I was getting a couple of upshifts skipping a gear i.e. 4th to 6th which was annoying. Ive also had this in rF2 - anyone else seen this before?

That is usually the case with the shifter pedals sensitivity, not with the game itself.

Ahh your right, Now that I think back, Jim told me I had a puncture in crew chief  However, I believed him! Haha, and my right front was toast with 90* of correction to keep it straight on my long journey back to the pits. it must have been sus damage..

Yes the MP start procedure is very finicky if you speed or lag back for more than 2-3 seconds it gives a penalty, it needs to be adjusted, If someone gets way ahead and you speed up to catch them because it telling you to catch up and your speed goes to hi = penalty etc... If you scrub your tires to aggressively trying to warm them= penalty .. These are examples of what players have had happen and are noted to the devs ..
