I normally have to login from the main page (http://www.internationalsimracing.com/forum/) then navigate to the correct section.
When I put the car in gear, it has a real hard time to get going, I spend 5 seconds trying to get the car to go.
Not seen that problem Doug, but will re-check tomorrow. Both Barrett Erickson & Ed Jones have been on the server and not reported any issues.
Normally thats an issue with the clutch, try turning auto clutch on or if its already on turn it off and map a padel or pedal to the clutch if you have one.
I hadn't thought of it that way, so thanks Nick for that suggestion. I have 3 pedals so always use the clutch for starts, even with auto-clutch enabled.
I tried a BMW, and its engine does not cut out like the Mazda’s. When the Mazda is put into gear, the engine drops to zero RPM, but with the BMW it holds a steady RPM, even though both cars have identical hardware settings. I turned off G Hub and the Mazda did start off better: instead of having no RPM for 5 seconds, it now has no RPM for only about 1 second when I shift into first gear. A better way to describe it is that the Mazda feels like it is trying to start in 5th gear. Images of hardware setting, video of Mazda and BMW leaving garage. Mazda vs BMW
the slow start is normal with this mod when starting from a standstill even with full revs, the clutch is either in or out with no in between which I think is the problem, i've driven other mods with the same issue, there is not enough low down torque for wheel spin (on slicks on dry track) so you bog down every time, having owned a real MX5 ND I can confirm this car has no torque below 3000rpm as its only a 2L NA 4 Banger but once its in the upper rev band its fine.
After testing i confirm it was the same for me. The clutch is like a light switch, but if you have a clutch pedal it is possible with a little practice to get it slipping which helps the getaway. Also noted that 1st gear is set for quite a high top speed in both diff settings, somewhere between 51-60 mph.
My car pulls during hard braking into corners. I have the brakes set at 100% so I can brake late, but if I set them between 75-90%, I overshoot my apex. I need a fix because the car moves left or right a considerable amount, and I am afraid someone beside me will get side bumped. I tried adjusting the suspension but am not sure what to change, as there isn't much to adjust in this mod's settings. It still continues to pull to one side or the other, no matter what I change.
