This is what I have to say on the matter. It wont ever change. What we have now days is the same as football. People are not fanbois and I hate the term. The thing you have to remember is years ago we never had the choice of sims we do do know. so we all kinda liked the same stuff now we have like 10 sims to pick from and you are going to get a divide because we will all have the one we like more over the others and there is nothing wrong in that. bashing other sims will always be apart of that just like any other sport where you have your favourite team and so you bash all the others. my opinion is not one sim is the best in anyway yes i have my favourite and thats AC but i wont sit here and say its the best bla bla bla in an ideal world we could have all the best bits from each sim and make one kick arse sim but we all know it will never happen. For me that would be the online from Iracing the physics and graphics from AC with the day and night and rain and driver swaps from rFactor 2 with a little GT Legends in there for taste. back onto the point, you cant fix something that is not broken in the first place. We are just spread out more these days. The only big thing that is wrong is the bullying that goes on as many have said how many of us have been picked on when we first started out and thats the part that needs to change. We can all help out there. If we all took a new sim driver under our wings and helped then maybe just maybe we would all have a better time of things. God only knows I would have been lost without the driving gods helping me over the years. In turn I try and do the same now and help where i can. Now how many of us can say we do that. It costs nothing to help others.
Good post Wayne, I can relate to that. The nature of people is competition and wanting to be elite over others. Most of the time it's not the quality of the object that is fought over, but it is the excuse one needs to be able to elevate himself over others. This is still the real truth I'm afraid to say:
