No mandatory pitstop Pole position = 1 point Fastest Lap = 1 point * We will use the real points system from the BTCC 1990 season **************************************************************** No-shows (keeping the entry list real) If a driver does not show without unregistering for that event or letting us know that he can't make it on the event forum, he will be removed from the series. If he is no longer interested in the series, it's fine like it is. If he forgot about the event, he can sign up for the series again. (You don't have to unregister for the whole series. You can unregister only for the event you can't do.) **************************************************************** No Esc. on track rule in Qualification In qualification, you can not press Escape (Esc.) while on track (if you crash) and then go back out again. If you want to do another run, you have to come into the pits first. This is to protect the other drivers from someone taking abnormal risks to set a good lap time and crashing (other cars). **************************************************************** Teamspeak Teamspeak is one of the features of Sim Racing Online. If you would like to hook up with other drivers on Teamspeak before the race (or any time), here is the forum link for the SRO Teamspeak address and password: https://www.simracingonline.co.uk/threads/teamspeak-ip-address-password.19/ For those who are not familiar with Teamspeak, you need to add the Sim Racing Online channel to your "bookmarks". Remember that Sim Racing Online is run by a private group of people, paying everything out of their own pockets. Thanks in advance !!
Hi Neil, Your own time zone is displayed in events Details, like above, according to the country you selected when you signed up for SRO. So my time zone is relative to GMT. GMT is the base timezone used by SRO. All the local times of the members are relative to GMT. For example, your local timezone is 20:15 like displayed above, but my local timezone is 21:15 because in live in the Netherlands.
in real life the three cars available are from different periods of super touring (the cavalier from the start of the nineties and the datsun from the late nineties). The primera would be a lot faster due to 10 years development. Does this mod take this into account or are they all similar performance?
Quick question, after driving on the server I've noticed that the cut corners ping comes up veeeery easily. Is this also during the race? I understand you should try to stay within the white lines but I also realise that that is not realistic to era or these types of cars. Will there be penalties for these corner clippings? thanks
I will set the "cut track points" to 10 on the server. That is enough to not get a penalty for "accidents", but also not enough for consistently cutting on purpose.
Thanks for the info John. I was asking because I had a few toca races at Brands in the last few weeks and a lot of times, because the racing was so close, I would cut a corner a bit because it was unsighted for me. I.e. going from Minter to Westfields and especially Sheene curve when you're bumper to bumper. But 10 points should be sufficient, thanks again. p.s. Still a little worried about running wide on the exit of Paddock hill
