Firstly, holy cow, who sacrificed their firstborn for that simply incredible championships page? How much of it is automated, and is there a way to get more unofficial events on the calendar?

Secondly; the site I come from has a reasonably lively social scene, events and championships not endorsed by the site officially, but the resources in community, website host and similar. I haven't noticed much of that here. Is it dissuaded, or more a case that no one had stepped forward to host yet?

Thirdly; and I don't want this to come across as presumptuous or entitled, but how does one get into coordinating, or general roles within the community? I'm also an experienced commentator with experience in project cars, AC and ACC, with RF2 very quickly becoming my favourite replay UI. I see this place is a home of real drivers, rather than hotlappers and I would love to see/help it grow.

Fourthly (and lastly, I promise); I noticed a welcome absence of iRacing from the forums, is this by design, or from lack of demographic to bother putting one in? Not arguing with the decision either way, I can't stand the thing, but intrigue is a big weakness of mine.

Warm regards to all. Hope to see you on track soon.

    Eike.

Edit: Okay one more thing. How hard would it be to enable web push notifications? When I get replies, getting notified off my phone through chrome is a great tool that I'd love to have here.

Thank you for you kind words about our site. All of our admins put in a significant amount of time working on this website, whether it be setting up and running series, processing race results or writing and testing software. What members do not see is all the work that goes on behind the scenes. We have a complete back office software system to manage the site and series and a lot of what you see is automated, or semi-automated. It takes a lot of work by all of our admins to make this site race ready.

We all have a passion for working on this site and serving the community. If you are interested in helping, please send a private message to myself and Nigel Middleton and we will contact you asap about opportunities we might have.

Our site is mobile enabled. As long as you are logged in you should see notifications pushed to your device.

See, I thought you might say that, it's odd that I'm not getting them then. Is there an option for it I should've ticked?

An easy way to keep up to date on what's happening in a series you are participating in is to Watch the forum. You can subscribe to a watch by first going into the forum. An easy way to find the forum is to locate the series in the championship page, go to the series page and click the Series Forum link.

Then click the Watch Forum link. Do this for all series you are interested in getting notifications.

Then select New Messages and check Alerts and Emails.

Also, check your Alert Preferences. You can do that by clicking your name on the Menu Bar and selecting Alert Preferences

Then make sure everything is checked:

Thanks for this, it's awesome to have the resource in place. The issue I'm having is due to the site not requesting permission to send notifications, like below: Screenshot_20200726-112844~2.jpg

To my knowledge, it's not something I can fix. I haven't denied the permission, it has never been asked, which is what I find odd.

We currently don't have the ability to push notifications to your device. But it's something we have on our future list of enhancements. To receive notifications you have to be logged into the site through a browser.
