The first time I just looked "Renault, some boring fwd car". But now I noticed that this is a real racing car, so I joined the series.
Very late entry, driven these a bit offline when released some time ago. Used Henri:s setup right off but could not fuel up and no time to check why, missed race start and started from pit, had also pit for fuel. Hope to be a bit more prepared for next one
I thought I'd check this out. What's the correct version of the car? I see on SRO download it's 0.8.4 but AssettoCorsaClub has 0.8.9. I've installed 0.8.9. Ah, I see now. The page says 0.8.4 but if I follow the download link it's 0.8.9.
I know it's probably blindingly obvious, but for any series run at SRO you should always use our DL links to download mods/tracks. It's always possible we might be a version or two behind, but if you DL from somewhere else, you will have problems getting on our race servers. In this case, I'm not sure why we had it as v0.8.4 as it doesn't show we updated it to v0.8.9. Whatever I've now updated the DL label to show the correct version.
Get checksum error when entering server. No time to sort this out for race this evening. Hopefully I'll enter the next round.
It might be the older version of the track used on the server causing the checksum error. (download at the link at the event page)
A checksum mismatch is what happens when a file on the client and on the server are not identical. ... A recent Assetto Corsa update has not been applied to either the client or server. As such the files on the client and server don't match. Some add-on content on the server is not the same as on the client. I'd try uninstalling and re-installing car mod and track. Also make sure your AC Client is updated to latest release.
The SRO track download has not yet been updated to the new version. We are using the v1.3.1 as per existing DL.
Just DL the car now. AC is up to date as far as Steam is telling me. Steam auto updates. As I say no time to sort this now I haven't even driven this car and don't think I know the track either. Leave it to the last minute and what do I expect
Thanks to all of you who ran in this series, including those latecomers or those who couldn't make every race. It makes it all worthwhile to the SRO admins when guys enjoy what we host for you all . Grats to Veli-Matti Husso on his dominant performance throughout the series to take his first Drivers Championship here at SRO. And of course grats to my own BVR Team on its Team Championship . Hoping to see you all in the new AC weekday series starting in January https://www.simracingonline.co.uk/threads/abarth-500ac-club-challenge-series-info.3712/
