We will have an rfactor2 server online within the next couple of days got to do the vmod that will most likely be Camaro gt3 tracks not sure of will put a practice server up with what ever we are going to run first. If you have ideas on what would be good to run for a series post your ideas in here.
I might just buy rFactor2 although my system requirements are quite low on the graphics front. This is why I have been looking at GSCE
You can get GSCE but rf2 is the way to go with ISI releasing some proto's very soon 1 should of been released but ISI are prob waiting until it is a totally finished product. With work in progress there are always going to be some bugs or another I only hope rf2 will end up a finished product but being realistic I don't think it will as of going by the launch date of rf2 and still they are adding cars and changing the core I think it will be work in progess but it is still a good sim though. Plus ISI only do this as how would you say a sideline rf1 and rf2 are still for me the best 2 sims out there. If there was no rf1 & rf2 what would you be left with most moders base there mods on rfactor. As of pc spec you do not need a top end pc to run rf2. If you need help in setting up rf2 I can help you with that. With graphics always run on med and have cars visible to about 8 to 10 on online racing it is not your pc can't handle rfactor it is an old game built for windows xp when ram for rf at the time 2gb was top notch if you had a pc with that amount of ram you where seen as having a top of the range pc. If you run rf on a modern pc put 4gb patch in that way win 7 will issue 4gb ram win 8 will issue as much as you have but remember 4gb max for rf1 it was developed at the time to use 2gb ram but 4 was the max it would allow the game to be used when you think about it who had 4gb ram or even 2 at the time of rf release the max was 1gb if you had the money to buy a pc with that spec. Another thing to remember win 7 will only issue 4gb max no matter what amount of ram you have rf was developed with 4gb max at the time they prob did not think that 9 years down the line it would be 1 of the best games still on the planet and if not the most popular game on the planet earth.
I know what you mean Tom. I've upgrade my PC only recently for rf2, pCars and Assetto Corsa but now is my wheel broken
I am having trouble uploading mods i need to find out what folders you ftp the mods to unless there is someone out there who can help. All the help I find online is about putting mods in to your own rf2 not about how to ftp them and what folders need uploading and to what folders to upload them in to.
I have found someone who is going to help me setup rf2 and ac so we should have some rf2 and ac races very soon.
I think I'll be waiting for RF2, I downloaded both AC & pCARS copies didn't like either of them, the graphic may be good but I don't think SCE is very far behind, the gameplay of both leave a lot to be desired, in AC I couldn't get my steering wheel set up to how I like it no matter what settings I used always too twitchy the cars front end seemed to wash out a lot, I couldn't even get through eau rouge at 150 kph in 458, pCARS the set up screens are too messy & though I was traveling at full speed at bathurst it looked as if I was crawling along. luckily it only cost me £10 for the privilege of assigning them to the rubbish bin.
This is from Endurance. Release date for rf2 well only endurance know that. This is from them. The Endurance Series rF2 is the rFactor2 version of our core, the Endurance Series by EnduRacers. The mod will be introduced in multiple releases, adding cars (and features) progressively in each new build. Our first decision is to focus the mod step by step on newer categories, like GTE in replacement of GT2. In addition, we want the mod core to be playabe since the first release with homogenic classes to allow online races and championships. This is why for exemple we are including in the first release "old" models like the Ferrari F430 and the Porsche 997, with a choice to develop physics based on GTE regulations instead of GT2. The next releases will be featuring LMP2 class cars (lists to be announced in the future) and GTE class cars (replacement of the F430 and the 997 RSR by more recent models). We will focus on these 2 categories first. About LMP1 cars, no choice is made today, mainly due to the workload engaged to produce the core of the mod first, we will announce decisions later. In addition, it is not possible for us to develop new generation LMP1 since no game at this moment is able to simulate Hybrid engines technology. About GT1 cars, the decision is made that rF1 cars won't be ported over the rF2 version of the Endurance Series mod, but that does not mean we abandon this category and the created models. You can here have a look at the presentation of all the models included in the mod, have at look at the team mod videos, readme, and of course download freely the mod !
unfortunately will never play it, however I do have the WES mod on SCE so I'm all set for my WEC fantasies.
