I have put the plugin in patches it is a plugin server provider has installed. I use 1 rfactor for SRO and another for any other site i race on that way you will only need the plugin for SRO They told me a lot of there customers have asked for it so it has been put on all the rf servers.
F1 78 server is running I went on and it asked for the plugin installed it and everything ok. It would of been nice for the server owners to have informed me they put a plugin on the server oh well
I Know they are trying to get this plugin at r2p but some are saying it crashes there rfactor we don't have to use the plugin but I will download the track pack and have a look. My rf servers are on windows 2008 with xeon processors and 16gb ram.
I have done 2 hours of testing so far with switching rain on and off with out any problems my rf has not crashed at all but will do some more testing today and if all is well will put the tracks on the server and run 3 test races. I will say the tracks are pretty good.
My rFactor is broken in general so I don't know when I will next be racing. Probably in June sometime. I'm thinking of buying GSCE aswell
You are better off buying rfactor2. What is actually wrong with your rfactor. If you need to install again just overwrite the 1 you have.
Done some more testing report is good no problems tested with DTM that mod is ok because it has wet tyres. Will post another report tomorrow when tested a couple of more mods. I am going to test a mod designed for the plugin as well if I am satisfied with it and it does not overwrite rf files will give a report on that as well.
Tested some more over the weekend and I can say had not 1 problem the tracks are good tested a formula 1 mod designed for the plugin and will say it is a good mod as well. Before I run some wet races I will put the tracks up for some dry testing first to see what you think of them it will be spa,le mans and Silverstone I like the tracks in dry conditions. I will put 3 races on the schedule. Will run a poll to pick the mod non points scoring just to test the tracks.
Normally i've enough to do on dry tracks so i never liked to race on wet tracks but if it must be then i choose DTM. How realistic is the grip on a wet track? Is it much less than on dry surface?
These tracks are realistic the grip level with slick tyres is good I have put the track pack in downloads Simrace Endurance RFE try them in dry and wet conditions you will be surprised at the level of grip. The tracks have good grip in the dry as well not like some that feel you are driving on ice. Driving in the wet you have to brake a bit early and try not to lock your brakes and not to have toe in so all of the tyre is on the road surface or as little toe as possible higher your car a bit. Wet setup is different to a dry one I have done a lot of wet racing in GTR2 it does make for some interesting racing but then you will find all the aliens will not race in the wet and some will not do night races either me I like all types of racing conditions makes it a bit more realistic. These tracks we can use with all of our mods dry or wet it just gives a bit more track options. The 3 races will be dry races. I have also put Nordschleife in downloads ring 2007 that has been converted to RFE plugin.
Ok thx for the details and if the aliens don't want race on a wet track then its good I will do some practice but how can i do that? Is the server running on a wet track?
Server is not running yet but will be in a few days you can do some offline practice in the mean time.
