    WELCOME TO ROUND 1 BLACK CAT COUNTY

    Black Cat County is a Assetto Corsa basic content track, fictional located in the USA. There are 3 lay-outs; short, intermediate and long.
    We will be racing the intermediate layout.
    This track reminds me a lot of Bannochbrae and Highlands in terms of "track-feel". It has a lot of challenging corners are fast and racey. The racing action here will be quite good.

    INFO:

    1) The Porsche 935/1977 was too slow and has been replaced by the Porsche 935/1980, which is faster, drives better and is on top of its game. See cars download.
    2) The BMW 320i has been removed because it was 2 seconds too slow and not competitive.
    3) The Ferrari 512BB is given 200 kg ballast for all events. The car is too fast and has half the fuel consumption of other fast cars.
    If you practice off-line, give it 200 kg weight ballast in Content Manager.
    4) Do not forget to install the Black Cat track skin.

    Testing results Black Cat County for all cars:
    Don't forget that the cars are BOP'd by track and Black Cat is very fast. On twisty tracks other cars are faster.
    Some laps were better than others, so laptimes are just an indication. After 1 lap you will have enough grip to push.
    All laps were done with the Endurance Tyres and 80 liters of fuel

    I was able to install the cars, but the BLACK CAT COUNTY track keeps showing up as an error when trying to install with content Manager. Message is file empty, but the content is in the winRAR file.

    Black Cat County is a standard track that is included in the game. You should have it as default. Do you not have it?

    This is my track folder Black Cat County that has the track skin installed. Otherwise you have to install the track skin manually like Neil said.

    After reinstalling the game, I can see the track and the cars, which are listed on the menu. However, when I select the required car for an event and attempt to start a session, the game crashes back to the menu. Interestingly, using a DLC car from Steam works fine, but when I try to use a car mod at Brands Hatch, the game crashes back to the menu again. I've also tried using a different car mod, but it yields the same result, crashing back to the menu. It seems that both car mods are causing the same issue, while the Steam DLC car works without any problems.

    It looks like you got your series mixed up. Are we talking about the Assetto Corsa IMSA GTX series round 1. Black Cat County?
    Steam and DLC is rFactor 2 or LMU.

    It can't be the mod or the track. They work.
    I would try using a different version Custom Shaders Patch. I have mine on 0.2.0

    I have it working now, there was no shader installed. NOW I need to set up the game from scratch.
    Thanks for your help. Is there something else I should know? :)
    The DLC's were the ones I bought from Kunos for AC.

    1st 15-20 minutes test on Ferrari 1st..very quick setup ( download here ) just to keep it on track. Note i try to shortshift really fast from 1st gear and running max wings on this just to keep it on track. Maybe should have done default wings but no clue if it matters. Was little scared of this thing :rolleyes:
    Most problematic was the braking and to start it early and make it softly. Coulnt go heavy on brakes but maybe that comes with practice.
    1st keep it on track and learn the lines and then start pushing..
    best läp here 2.17.7 on very short notice.
    Can do rest of the cars too in the idea of 20minute session and post the setup and lap time as John did.

    :edit: 30 LITERS FUEL, SLICKS, NO 200KG BALLAST!!!

    There is no need to have a DLC installed for this series. The mod is free to download and the track is a AC default.
    All you need now to go online is to have Helicorsa installed.
    The server will go online with the GTX after the last GTC60s event.

    Impressive. Can you also mention please for reverence:
    1. Did you put the 200 kg ballast on for the Ferrari?
    2. What tyres did you use?
    3. How many liters did you run?

    2.19.8 mustang turbo. default set, ratios one click down and brake balance 52 front 48 rear.
    this car felt very safe, doesnt kill you and is predictable. seems to have understeer to work on.

    tried bmw but didnt like it, no timel

    2.19.6 porsche, pretty much default setup, i put couple clicks of front wing more. endurance and 80 liters. Stable, predictable and good car, easy on throttle on gears 1 - 2...

    Yeah, that's a cool car. I did 3 tens slower.
    It's a pretty cool track, isn't it? It's not a lap, it's an adventure :D
