Thanks to Rob who identified that the Club layout of this track does not have a pitlane We will use the GP layout for this race instead.
Great race , now hurry away to take care off the grand kids. Give my race report Friday . Thank you all ! Sorry for be so hasty to leave:
I hadn't done any serious testing with either this car or track before the race practice session and it showed in comparison to the others pace. An awesome pace and consistency from Bjorn taught us all a lesson I think. Head to the grindstone before the next race for me!
It was a long time without driving in pCARS2 but I had much fun in the intense race yesterday. At least in the first half of the race until the point of my mistake... That killed my quest for P1 that was looking closer but still very challenging. @Björn Johansson did a fantastic race and won in great shape. The fight with @Brian Donald was good and fun. After the mistake and with no time to recover the fight, I lost concentration and it was a matter of keeping P2 safe until the end of the race... Very nice race. Looking forward to the next round. I leave the video of the race as usual:
Congrats to Bjorn. It was a great race and quite intense. I had a great start and got third place and kept up with Jos until I put a wheel on the grass and spun off and down to fourth. Pushed on until I regained third from Scot who made a mistake on the last corner with a few laps to go. Really enjoyed the race and the car so looking forward to Snetterton.
So back from the care taking. A wasted grand dad Nice words thank you all. Very happy It was a hard session no doubt about that. A very close quali, got a decent start and follow Stefan for a lap or two not sure, Stefan got a oversteer and I got lucky avoid it, think Brian and Jos couldn´t so I got some gap that feelt solid at the time. But then I saw Jos closing in lap by lap and was a very worried about it, and I did try hard to stay away thats for sure. Manage it when Jos got a touch on a kerbs I guess? Lucky fo me I started practise on wrong track from start, didn´t read the manual So I had a set up to go with, impressed by all off you guy´s that only need a couple off laps to eat it up thats real talent See you
Indeed, an over correction to touching the kerb and feeling the car was starting to snap to the right... Lack of feeling and over reaction... You can see it in the video at 27:15
I did yesterday after my report , couldn´t let go . It was very cool watch you´r technic heel/toe wish I could have. But I´m to old to manage gear shift and three pedals , could also see the benefit off round steering wheel "a spec in the hairpin" . (Should have lay my money on one instead off the new Fantec Mclaren wheel but wtf it looked .) I also saw that I didn´t avoid Stefan, I had a small contact, but was too close to avoid it. Is the replay file to be shared? I try to take one but was probably too late, doing the cool down lap wich I really need See you
