If you want to use a specific car model then post your choice here https://www.simracingonline.co.uk/threads/choose-your-car-skin-here.3826/, otherwise you will get a random allocation when joining the server.
For this race the intended fixed default setup will not be enforced due to issues we have encountered in configuring the server. I would recommend that you do use the default setup, only making changes to fuel, brake pressure & bias, because future races will be run with default setup if the issues can be fixed.
This the only thing I can think of. Any time your files don't match the ones uploaded on a server you will get a checksum error? Someone else might be able to help more or Ken will when he comes on the forum later today.
With me worked perfectly when i joined the online server, no errors at all.. Maybe Pieter have to download the right package of mods...
Alternative link to the track file is now in https://www.simracingonline.co.uk/threads/macau-magic-tcr.3819/#post-32567
Thanks for testing Vasilis but I see you are not entered for the race . How come you're not joining us?
I will Ken, i just wanna be 99% sure that i will follow the series, i dont want to register and unregister for a reason, although we cant go out of our homes.. I love these cars and 99.9% i will follow the series
You'd think by now that I would have AC starts off to a tee, but it caught me out once again today when I tried to use a clutch start, which I do for all my races in all sims. The issue with AC is that some car mods seem to have an auto-clutch built in like a modern sequential gearbox and it ignores the clutch pedal action. So at the start I had the clutch depressed fully, selected 1st gear and when the red start lights came up I increased the engine revs and BAM.......the car moved forward. I managed to stop it very quickly but not before the sim had given me a D/T Penalty - not very helpful in an 8 lap race! I rejoined just ahead of Ed and Pieter and got my head down, as for a change I was very confident in the cars handling on the default setup and knew I could put in some fast laps. With everything else that went on with others, I ended up chasing Jari in 2nd place and although I caught him with 2 laps left, passing here is probably one of the toughest places we run on. I pushed as hard as possible to try and keep him under pressure and on the final lap he ran slightly wide going into Fishermans Bend and I was able to sneak past for 2nd place. Losing a place on the final lap has happened to me multiple times, so I know how bad it feels. This was a good start to this multi-sim series with some very capable drivers racing, so I hope it will continue in the other races for this sim and rF2/rF.
This was a race that i didn't expect much, specially when i get into online server and saw Ken was lapping 2:37 and my best time was 2:41 (offline practice). The track is so so difficult, was my first ever try and i tried hard to not crash at the barriers. I was spying a bit at Ken's onbord when he did the quali laps, i was really impressed with his smooth driving and tried to see why and where he was so much faster than me.. Finally i was able to improve my lap times a bit and got finished 5th with a best lap 2:38.8 which is still 2.5 seconds behind.. Anyways that's a proof that practicing makes me better and that i still have a lot to learn.. Congrats to the podium finishers and specially to Ken for the great recovery.. See you all at next race guys
I had a bad race last night, I was leading the first lap and knew Ken had a D/T penalty, but THEN I had to hit the barrier and ended up in last place. I was able to pressure Ken for a few laps but then crashed at that awful sharp turn trying to avoid hitting Ken. Then it was over. Last night the track had the better of me and I managed to loose the round all by myself. Enjoyed the racing very much. Thanks all.
