1 week to go and 16 on the grid, nice ! Some changes for the series have been made regarding the mandatory pit stops : > The 10 sec stop & go is out , You will be required to do a 4 tire change during the pit window. Please make sure you are up to speed with your pit menu & huds we don't want any excuses lol .. Pit window will be 25 minuets , the way ACC applies this is it splits the race in half so the pit window sits right in the middle of the race , its not adjustable .. so with a 45 min race and a 25 min pit window figure it will open at the 10 min mark & close at the 35 min mark so last 10 min & first 10 min pits will be closed (open for repair but this will not count as your required mandatory pit stop ..) The server is up ! Settings 2 hr P1, 10 min Q ,45 min race .. Weather randomness 1
Race Day PW set on the Champ Page ! Race Reminders: Manual Rolling start (short) we start rolling in sector 3 before the last turn . Who ever gets pole will be leading the pack 2x2 up to the line ,max speed 80kph . The auto pit limiter will be off for this round ! this means you will have full throttle/full control once the form lap begins .. don't speed away ! .. Stay in line ! Wait for the green ..! & with any luck we will all get threw the hair pin ! lollol ! If we can all pull this off we will use manual start for all the rounds ..If we have crazy mishaps & drivers cant stay where they are supposed to be I will turn the auto rev limiter back on for future starts Mandatory Pitstop/4 tire change . Must be done during the pit window ... Pits window is 25 min .. Pits are closed for the first 10 min as well as the last 10 min of the race , any stops done while pit window is closed will not count as your compulsorily pit stop This should be some epic racing ! Good luck & Thank you all for signing up to make this series happen ! !
Apologies for the spin, and whoever tagged me. It seemed to make me stall so I tried to restart but was facing the wrong way with oncoming traffic so decided to quit. Enjoyable upto that point, running in 6th. See you at the next round.
Unbelievable... 2 discos. 3rd disco in the last 4 races here Even after the first disco, I was in a decent position... Had just overtaken Roger for 5th, then disco again. It would be difficult to attack Alex for 1st, since we had the exact same pace, but I was doing a pretty decent race. Happy with that. Congrats to all entrants, and sorry if I warped or something like that.. when the clouds get black and we see some strong winds, the internet may be unstable around here. I'm really losing all the joy to sim race lately... It's being really frustrating to get disconnected every race
That was me, Oli. I probably could have avoided you but I was looking in my mirror as I turned the bend and your car took me by surprise, so partly my fault as well.
Think that was me Oli but i somehow manages to miss you despite having my own moment at the same time, shame it stalled, although you were much quicker than me so doubt I'd have been able to give you a race. Fun race though, I'm just amazed i managed to pit without messing something up... Edit: just seen Norman had a spin with Oli too,
Sorry about the start guys, I made a real mess of it. There does not seem to be VR visible speedo in the Lexus. Only tried it today for the first time. My next excuse is I mistook the finish line for the start line. I've never started in ACC without the limiter, I'll work it out for the next race. Feel bad for the guy running in 1st, his car took a nose dive into the gravel and disappeared. Shame as I think we were on for an epic battle.
At the start some one wrapped his car around my nose in T1. Didn't know if that was my fault, so I decided to wait for him, but it took him like 30 seconds to catch up again, so my race was effectively over. Looking at the replay later, he did it all himself so there was no need for me to stop ... damn.
Results are posted ! Congrats to Alex for the hat trick ! fastest lap (1 point) pole (1 point) and the win for max points (42) Race notes: DQ removed and 20 second time penalty added to Taner Selvi for not meeting the compulsory 4 tire change , He did make his stop (11 seconds) .. looses 1 position . This is a first offence /misunderstanding of the rules & race admins decided to hand out the penalty rather than the DQ .. as he did make his stop and did not intentionally try to gain an advantage . Next offence will result in a DQ . Turn 1 mishaps : after reviewing the replay there are no further inquires = race incidents ... Thanks all for making this series happen ! Great racing ! FKR .
Replay available on the Champ page Place the replay file in : documents/acc/replays/saved & it will be in your in game menu ..
Sorry guys I didn.t show up. Thought it was 1h later. Not my perfect time to race, I.ll try to do some race anyway (up to my wife, lol) I won.t unregister if that is ok. Damn I love this sim!
Possibly not the right place to ask but does anyone know if there is a reasonably simple guide to the available cars and their pros/cons etc? Also are the older cars balanced to the new 2019 ones or are the newer cars actually faster (theoretically anyway?) I picked the Nissan only because i could see out of it in VR and always liked it IRL, i'm sure there is a more scientific approach
Rob will answer your question as soon as he comes on the forum. Please remember you may want an answer to your question it may take a little time as Rob is in the USA
Hi Mark, One thing I can confirm is the old Audi is a whole second faster at Monza than the 2019 Evo version in my hands. The way BEC balance the cars is a bit funny. Someone mentioned to me that where possible take the car that's at its home race. I remember reading the Evo cars have better aero. Not sure if that means more downforce or less drag or both. The only way to work it out is to get dirty and start lapping and take whatever car you feel is the right one to get you to the end of the race without falling off. I'm not sure if you missed the post but this and next season you can take whatever car you like week by week so no harm in getting it wrong and swapping to something else for next race. Search YouTube for a channel called "Unleashed Drivers" He's done a lot of testing of all cars. Very meticulous in his approach. Good luck and catch you on track
