SERVER IS UP

 

Any specific requirements for our races are normally shown under Event Notes on the race page https://simracingonline.co.uk/racing/eventinfo/2074

 

Server has been restarted and I got in OK. For some reason it was showing Scott's name against the server lobby listing but he wasn't at the track and I couldn't get in either. Seems ok now.

 

Not sure what's going on as when I checked a couple of hours ago it showed Brian was connected but cars were 0/24 as in this image


but I couldn't join the server.
After resetting the server I joined and left three times without problems

 

I'm posting this message here so those SRO guys still running PC2 might be able to answer.
Why do I still get PC2 Content Updated message in the Steam Client as I did just now, when it's no longer sold or allegedly supported? Is this part of the connection issues?

 

When trying to join the server again, like the example with Brian above, it showed Paul was supposedly on the server (but not) and rejected my Join. I've instigated a server reset to see if that fixes it, but if we have problems tonight, I'll have to log it with our Server Hosts as an issue and then reschedule this race to another date.

 

Still encountering issues with three of us getting disconx & server locked. Let's hang on and see if it goes away

UPDATE I've logged a Support request with our Hosts and they are usually very quick in resolving things, so we might still get to race tonight. Watch this space.

 

Sorry for the issues, but we are working with the Server Host on identifying & resolving the problem. I'll reschedule this race once we have a normal, working server once again.
Thanks to Gerhard for stepping in and hosting a Fun-Run tonight

 

Our Server Host did not find any issues with the server and tested it themselves by joining and running laps over 20 mins. At the same time one of you joined without problems they told me, but not sure who it was. I've tried it today and run several laps over a 30 min period without being disconx and have rejoined the server again without problems. Can a couple of you check it out and see if its all working ok for you too, before I close the Support Ticket?

 

Did you run some laps Julian and where you on the server for at least 5-10 mins?
