I'm going to be away for a couple of weeks from tomorrow so unfortunately won't make this first race of the series. Have fun
SRO member names on the servers.. We all like to use nic names when racing online on the public servers etc however for league racing at SRO you must use your sro member name for the results software to work properly. The way steam games work it uses your STEAM ID number when you join a server so if you join with the wrong name or your nic when you leave and go change it when you come back it will still be the first name you joined that server with because your STEAMID # is already logged on that server. It will sometimes be correct in the result file if you did change it so please remember to set your sro member name before joining any official sro events as the game will keep the first name you join with (unless the server reboots) Make sure to tell the admin on the server who you are so he can try to manually edit it in the result file before processing.. Thanks
Whew! You were on it today @Edward Jones Very good pace and I think you had more pace in the end, but in the closing stages of a races pressure becomes a factor. In think in the last two laps the car in front had a disadvantage, not because of the slip stream but because the car in front had more to lose. Consequently we swaped positions after slight errors and it had to be a photo finish, where I went from fifth to fourth. Not sure when I had my last, so thank you, good fight. I think one can make better pictures, but just to visualize it. Congrats to the top three and all other competitors, I hope you had fun, too.
Damn, I got the wrong day...sorry I'm playing my role as a grandfather this week and it's messing up my schedule a bit... I had the race scheduled for tomorrow!!! It will be for the next one...
This was a great race, one of the best I've had so far. After battling with Julian for quite a bit, my front left started to give up, but it seems that Julian's did as well. Had a great battle with him almost all the way through, I managed the make the car as wide as I could, and it wasn't easy. However, I forgot to turn the ac on in the room before the race, so I started to get a bit uncomfortable at the 20 minute mark. Ultimately I made a mistake when I adjusted my seat, which put me way behind, so I just drove to the end afterwards. Looking forward to Cadwell Park, it's a very different type of circuit, I'm curious what will happen.
Great Event for SRO, a bad one for me. After a misunderstanding with Jose in lap 1 my suspension was destroyed. Loosing one lap when pitting and with full tank (did not cancel refilling ) my race was boring. Pretty good racing mates, i watched the replay, the photofinish between Ed and Phil was amazing. CU next round mates.
Hi Gerhard, I noticed that you were left behind but I didn't feel we have touch, and I apologize if I provoked in any way My pace was good, in this sloooooower cars my lack of FB is not so important as its like driving in slow motion Qualy 4th, keep the position with steady laps and no pace for the three guys in front until lap 10 when I get distracted by my kid and step a wheel on the dirt on exiting last corner the car spin and slide backwards into pit lane and get DISQUALIFIED for driving in wrong way in the pit lane cu guys on Cadwell
Have to say I really enjoyed that one, had the pace to keep up to Roman, he was slower in some sections but to safely pass in this car was always going to be hard as I found out with Viktor. I really did fluff the start which allowed Viktor and Roman to be in front, managed to get past Viktor and chase Roman which was going well for some laps but then came across Gerhard who obviously had some problems at the start of the race as we were about to lap him , he graciously tried to stay out of the way but unfortunately while I was being very cautious as to not have an issue, Viktor got past. For quite a while I was racing Viktor which was real fun but couldn't get past, wow that car was wide, great defending by Viktor and dam good racing ,clean hard and fair, but unfortunately that gave Roman the brake, and by the time Viktor made a mistake, Roman had the lead he needed . I knew I wouldn't be able to close the time down to Roman, but consolidated for a second place so that was good. Amazingly for the first time I had no problems with freezing from my VR that I always have for some reason when Rob Hosts a race , so I'm going to try AMS2 shortly which I also enjoy, Rob seems to Host that mostly ,and see if I get the Issue. To everyone, great racing ,Roman you have great times and ability,Victor it was fun, and that is what it is all about, and Rob thx for standing in and all your effort for us guys. cu at the next one!!!!
That was an awesome duel Philipp. I thought I might get you when I got in front towards the end there, only for you to snag it back! I seem to be faster following someone then I am if I manage to get by them. Then I start to make small mistakes. But it was loads of fun and I had a blast. Great racing by you. Congrats to Roman, and Julian and Viktor!
thank you all for your kind words. I don't really like to write about my post-race impressions. I repeat - I am glad that I got a fight in qualification, unexpectedly won the start and received an undeservedly easy victory. I hope in the future for good competition in the championship.
