A nice race which would have deserved a larger grid. P3 was my maximum, outstanding pace from Alaoui and Caitlin!!! CU soon at round 3.
Not a good start to my campaign in this series, especially after missing the 1st round. At the start I completely forgot to set the mixture higher and with a botched clutch release control, I was swamped and ran through Redgate in last place. But then things started happening in front of me and despite trying to thread the needle between three sliding, spinning cars and almost making it, I got pushed off to the outside and resumed next to last. OK 1 position improvement Once underway again I couldn't work out why I was so slow in a straight line and spent nearly 8 laps thinking it was due to the minor damage from the start, but then had the EUREKA moment and realised I was still on Mix 2!! Resetting the Mix I was then able to give chase to Stefan, Klaus and Ed ahead, eventually recovering those 3 places and almost getting Paul on the final lap when he was managing his low fuel situation, but came up short by 0.8 secs at the flag. I'm going to send myself a memo to not repeat these mistakes in subsequent races On a positive note, I absolutely love the feel of these cars and am looking forward to the rest of the series very much
