Good race. Found my pace little too late, in second half of the race and offroading didnt help. Maximum with little luck would have been 2nd today but taht would have ment passing driver or 2 with similar pace. Winner was untouchable. Nevertheless had good battles and fun. Such a delicate track to master.
I love the track.....except for some reason my right eye kept intermittently stinging and watering under the vr headset.....eventually resulting in a clip of the wall in the chicane on to the start and finish straight because I could only open one eye! Thoroughly enjoyed the race though.
Except for the start, quite a boring race for more. Had no big mistakes, but not enough pace to keep the others behind me. Looking forward to the other tracks. Nor worries, such things can happen. I was lucky that that wall on the inside was invisible, otherwise that would have ended my race. So I could finish it, but to be honest it was not much fun. Not because of that incident, my race was compromised from the get-go. The guy in front of me lifted, and I had to as well but the guy behind me not. That send my into a spin, and I was dead last after 100-200 meters. Frustrating, but somehow typical for my Assetto Corsa races. A ton of frustration, but how knows, maybe it will be better in Zolder.
Congrats to Phil for the win and to podium finishers.. Of course WD to all guys who raced tonight.. I never raced before at this track, never practiced, my RL gets me busy so my time to play or practice is limited.. I was hoping to practice a bit before the race start, but my tv has a different opinion.. After an update it stucked at 640x480 resolution and i couldnt see a thing. Just about in quali time, finally i fix it and logged in. No setup, no nothing, no clue about fuel, tire pressures etc etc. I qualified last about 4 seconds behind Phil's pole, so i started last. After race start some guys in front involved at a carnage and gained some positions.. but.. i was sooooo slow and after a couple of laps they overtook me easily. Too many mistakes for me, i was cutting the grass almost at every lap and this was not funny at all. About 8 minutes before the end i decided to retire. I didnt enjoy the race, my car was bumpy with oversteering and understeering issues and i didnt like it at all. Somehow i managed to do a lap at mid 1:22 if i remember well and this was the only good part of the race for me. Until the next one take care all
