    Activating DRS at the right moment in the last Turn is quite the challenge. Too early and you're making donuts, too late and it will cost you.

    It's not about the drivers, but the pace car. It's still buggy and can drive crazy fast/slow or decide to never going in among other special tricks. It has a mind of it's own :)
    I would love to have formation lap if it was stable. But I've been running online leagues and I fully understand why you would like to run you rf2 server with as few possibilities to fail as possible.

    I'm getting too old for this, we ran GT3 and ofc used rolling start :p. Then I agree on adding the formation lap.

    With regard to the formation lap discussion, I watched the first lap of the broadcast at Hockenheim and there were no incidents at turn 1 or 2 the first lap.
    That is the whole purpose of a formation lap ... to avoid incidents with a standing start and at Turn 1 because of the chaos of a standing start.
    Even half a lap later, there were still no incidents. So why a formation lap? I don't see the need.

    And besides, it's better to focus on the last lap instead of the first lap because being careful at the start should be normal.

    the formation lap is important to know the track conditions, unless you make sure that the tire conditions are the same as the worm up

    did you watch lap one? Nas ran wide and i almost crashed because of cold brakes, so maybe this time we were lucky and there were no incidents but i think formation lap is very neccessary and also a great way to simulate an actual race

    Well, i'm not one of the fast guys, so maybe i'm missing something, but it seems to me that part of race preparation and racing skill is anticipating, allowing for, and adapting to such variables as cold tires and brakes on lap 1?

    Don't know what to say. Decided to go into this race to race with others, not even for a podium but to just stay in the race. Crap, that got me far. Marius Nicolae braked normal but it still caught me off guard because I wasn't even going for the move! I steer left but nope, wasn't enough. My apology Marius. First thing someone says don't do, I do. Hey Johnny, don't drop that glass of water. What?

    Racing Ken Jagger down the straight. I was happy 4th! LOL. But then Rfactor decides or the server decides to make Ken's 3 car gap disappear and reappear in front of me. I can only nod my head and walk the walk of shame. :( Sorry Ken. I don't know what happened.
