I have unregistered from the race but just to confirm on here. Due to a date change with my companies stock take I’ll be unable to make this one I’ll probably still jump on the server for some laps anyway, lol.
I cannot make today either, have to pick up the wife from hospital visiting her mother. Good luck guys
Sorry to have to beg off, lads. Only moments ago, I finished a GPL event in 1955 cars that has left me spent and, worse, with failing vision. I'd be even slower than usual today. Good Luck to All!
Hi I had the best race until lap 16, then tires were on threads. could not keep speed and cornering until the car just turn badly. Change front tires and hoping to stay in front of Penny... LOL she got me in a flash and less than a lap was in front and running away. Now, I have notice that the tires do not last for me, I would like to know if there is a kind person to tell me what I am doing wrong and if he/she can pass me the log files of their race. I am curious to check the software. please tell me what I am doing wrong. also last race the same, I had fun for the first 14 laps, then I had to go and change tires. Thanks in advance Rick
With rF2 its pretty much about driving style and a bit about setup. You have to try and not push into corners too hard either under braking or on the gas. Try a slow in/fast out approach which works for me better than any other method. Mind you, it still doesn't make me one of the faster drivers or explain how some guys can seem to do what I suggest avoiding, but without losing the tyres grip towards the end of the race. Just look at the pace of Sam Butters int he final few laps today, he was still doing the same lap times as at the start. Beats me..... https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/excessive-tyre-wear-help.42965/ This also shows you were the hardest on the tyres in the first race.
I had my bottle of champagne ready for the podium Thanks for that slide. I am last !! 1.58%!!! Penny also is down but I think she is a very good driver. Can race with Tesco trolleys ! I am trying something on the setup suggested by a real race driver. I will follow his advice. Let’s see. By the way, I really enjoy racing with you, also thought I think I was holding you. I had fun for few laps All my best Ken. Cheers
Please feel free to share his tips if they work for you . It will only help us all to race rF2 better .
Qualified 4th with a PB so not bad. Race wise I didn't have the pace of the pack of Ferrari's. Briefly I ran 2nd but a couple of mistakes saw me head butt the wall a couple times. Didn't affect the handling though. Finished 4th. Well done to the winners
I had another screen freeze which cost me the lead, and then I spun three times and finished third. Bother. Congrats to @Sam Butters for the win!
I wondered why you stopped on the exit of the final turn Caitlin, that explains it. I too had my usual freeze losing time in the process, but I'm now in support discussion with my PC supplier to try and sort it out once and for all. I've been living with it too long thinking it would eventually go away .
I wondered why you randomly stopped on the exit of T5/6 - shame because it would have been a good battle for the lead!
Yeah. Up until that point I had been taking it very easy and trying to back up the field in order to frustrate you and conserve my tyres, but after my spins I had to make a pit stop anyway. Hopefully we can have a better battle next time.
This also shows you were the hardest on the tyres in the first race. View attachment 6573
how do i get this screen?
how do i get this screen?
Its by using this nice program https://forum.studio-397.com/index....ffline-and-league-championship-manager.48117/ But the tyre and fuel data are only visible when using the dedicated server results file, they don't show in the client results files saved on your own PC.
