Seriously though, for our North American racers, this race will be 1hr later as they have not changed their clocks yet.

It was a great race yesterday in the end. I came to the event with to little practice on a new track for me. I knew I can do a fast lap, if I get it right, but was sooo inconsistent. 1 lap setup was really good and I did a great lap, suprised by 1 place, even though it was just by 0.002s.
Then the race started and I was quite nurvous (P1 made it even worse), feared my inconsistency would let me down and that I don't do something awful and take somebody out with me :)
Few laps were ok, but then I made a mistake (a bit too much oversteer with race setup), and fell back to P5. Mistake from a guy in P4 got me a place higher, and then we had great battles with Philipp for P3. My setup allowed me to pull out 0.5s in last two corners, so start/finish straight seemed the best place to get P3. After Philipps mistake I went by on start/finish straight, but soon gave it back.
In the end P4, but a really great race! Can't wait for next one, see you all there!

p.s.: can anyone upload a replay maybe? Thanks!

With a little running and struggling to string together consistent laps in practice, I thought this race would be tough.

Textures for this track seemed quite blinding in VR but once out on track it was fine. I started my qually laps and spun on my first try.... i then regrouped and tried again. First flying lap on the second run, spun AGAIN! I was running out of time!! Third try and I just had to throw everything at it!! I saw the sectors were green all the way, knew it would be close for pole in what was only 2 clean laps. But 0.002s? WOW!

Starting the race I knew it would be hard to stay under someone's rear wing through the blind crests. I tried my best to stay within a second of @Matej Dakskobler and the ever watching @Kostas Kantzouras behind meant I couldn't relax. I knew the pace I had to stick to and did my best to stay there.

It was a pity seeing Matej spin at T1 I just hoped that his car span away and I didn't collect him. I then got my head down and pushed to try and break the tow behind. I put in too much fuel, but better to have too much than too little. Tried my best to stay in the 1:21:XX laptime range because I wanted to make sure I had a gap if Matej made it through the pack again.

Keeping concentration and rhythm was hard, the bumps were brutal and my wrists were killing me!! In the end I was pulling away a little from Kostas but I still didn't lift off until the last lap, didn't want to make a costly mistake.

Exhausted after that race, but I feel I was gifted that win. I am sure the rest of the season will be just as competative! Detroit next.... at least there are no gravel traps... but will have lots of walls to collide with instead!! :D

Oh yeah, good one. I saw in my mirror that your car was fast in the last sector, but also a handful. The mistake I made also caused by that, because I wanted to go also a bit faster through there, but I missed the first apex and went too wide at the exit. I made a little video for anyone who is interested

I had a good race car, which was stable and reliable. Not good enough for one lap, but allowed my to climb up some positions, as others hit trouble. But I was never a real danger for Kostas or even Neil. Congrats to you, see you soon.
