I've been temporarily laid off since march and loving it, but the company decided they are going to close for good (depression set in when I lost my great 3 day/ 13 hr schedule) and now I'm starting a new job and wont get to race other than mon, tues (which sucks!) :(

    Dear mates!

    I am astonished :))
Expecting a very hard race at this rollercoaster, i had only hopes to gain P3.
But the script of this race was unexpected: Ken lost the car, and behind me
Jos and Björn were fighting like crazy. Suddenly the gap was 10 sec and i could
manage the race to the end. I iused Kens tactic: "when leading just do what is
    necessary"
Looking forward to Donington, i am convinced the table will turn there again.

    Good Morning all
Congrats to Gerhard for a great qual and race win:cool:
Start off the was ok, just try´d not to get involved in any drama maybe a bit too
safe  not sure could see Ken and Gerhard vanish away, after a couple off laps Jos? made a miss judge on my " brake point " I guess?
So got a small touch and off to the grass , so it was to start all over again and boy did we :eek::rolleyes::cool::D
It was the most crazy race I´v done ever , we change position a couple off times and I really try´d to gain a upperhand "with out any drama"
there where occation when I was tempted, but hold back a little. Didn´t matter it was so fun and at the finish :D:eek:
I think we had 0.30 ? something in between us. Great race Jos
    :( Didn´t get a replay :(

So thank you all for a good session , and great thank you admins for all you´r effort and fun for us
    See you all

Really manic race yesterday with the Ginetta at Brands Hatch Indy.
With not much practice ahead of the race, I was clearly struggling with my pace both in the practice session and in qualy. Eventually missing 3 to 4 tens that were scary ahead of the race.
Starting in 5th, I managed a good start and found myself behind @Björn Johansson when we reached Druids. @Ken Jagger and @Gerhard Hofmann, with amazing pace in qualy, were keeping a safe distance until Ken had a moment in the Cooper straight and ran off track in front of us. I saw him coming back and Bjorn steering to the left a bit to avoid any potential contact. A gap seemed to be opening in front and I went for it when Bjorn hit the brakes and turned right to close Clearways. I struggle to judge this situation. It could be interpreted as Bjorn suggests in his post as if I missed the braking point and punted him... But I would argue we were both taking Clearways in parallel lines and I was on my right to keep that trajectory that he cut off short by closing to the right... These parabolic long curves are tricky in this respect.
In any case, the dreaded contact happened and I could see the slow motion of Bjorn's car spinning in front... Lifted the throttle to avoid making the situation worse but the guys behind didn't have time to react and the result was a pile-up with my car thrown to the gravel on the left. In doubt of the incident with Bjorn I decided to wait until he rejoined the track not realising he was actually much faster to recover than I expected so restarted the race last and with a bit of catchup ahead.
A couple of laps later I had caught the pack thanks to their fights and, in a slow Clewarways for Bjorn and @Jose Branco, I managed to overtake them both in the Brabham straight. But Jose was still on my back and, in the right kink towards Druids, it got too tight and we made contact with a miracle escape for both although Jose suffered the most in his excursion through the grass losing the position also to Bjorn. Watching the replay in the video I believe I was leaving enough space on the right but it might be a different story from the car behind...
After that, the mother of all battles unleashed between Bjorn and me. It was intense, swapping positions a couple of times and fighting tooth and nail (perhaps a bit more aggressive on my side) for the final extremely tight ending but managing to keep P2 in extremis.
Congrats on your tremendous race Bjorn.
All the best and see you at Donnington national.

    Great video Jos  .
It was my challenge against Ken that, cause me too far out. Nothing you could do about it.
Funny how one can´t really remember all details, totaly forgot that I challenge Ken there.
Not the best spot :oops::rolleyes:. it also feelt more intense when racing looking at it now it was
not really close apart from small moments here and there a special the last 4-5 minutes.
    See you Jos

I should have the file somewhere. I'll find it and upload it when back to the rig.

You did a great race Gerhard and kept the pace without mistakes for the entire race. Well deserved win even if far more boring that the race we had behind :). But I'm sure you won't mind such relative boredom with the final result.
    All the best.

I've corrected the reference to the white car I thought it was Brian but, watching the replay, I believe it was @Jose Branco. Apologies for the confusion.

    Hi Jos,
it was a little tight but fair enough and we touch after my car slide a little bit o the grass, I'm glad you didn't take any damage.
After the hairpin I was so focus on keeping on the cars in front that lost track of the car behind that and caught him on a blind spot so I take the normal line and touch him make me spin against the wall.
My race was a kind of riding in the park after lost almost 2 laps after that incident, at least my wheel works well this time.
I have fun for a couple of laps on Hofmann tail, to bad I was 2 laps behind :).
See you guys on the next.
