sorry as usual I can't download the circuit. I fixed my PC and I can go back to racing for the next GP
Tried it too, works on my machine. Maybe you can get it from here https://www.overtake.gg/downloads/cadwell-park.11507/ (You need an account, but apart from that, it seems to be the same track)
Sorry guys, something went wrong with the qualy results in the processing, but the race results are correct. And that's what counts.
A poor race for me, even by my standards. I liked the track but struggled. I was absolutely terrified by Gooseneck but during the race I got caught out badly, twice, on the transition from Coppice to Charlies, with oversteer snapping me onto the grass for a long slide. I did eventually get caught out on Gooseneck late on in the race to justify my terror of that awful bend. My race was over on lap 2 after a long slide on the grass. Its a narrow track, so I was happy to let the lappers drive by as they arrived. Congrats everyone on what seemed to be a pretty clean race - I didn't see much of it! See you soon.
3rd race of this series. Because I really don't like this track and never perform well here I was not looking forward to this race. In the 40 or so laps I did in offline practice I could do low 1.47 sec laps. Figured that wasn't all that bad. Race day. In “official” practice I started doing some warm up laps on race fuel. Then some of the fast guys came in and immediately started setting very quick times. Thinking that was their race pace it had me slightly worried. But then again, one can't win all the races. It is what it is. Quali; As I was having a “personal pitstop” I was a bit late starting qualifying. That messed up my “mental state” a bit as I would only have 2, maybe 3 flying laps. Thinking I had to play it safe I first got in a banker lap. Not a good one, but OK. Then Phil Brown laid down a stonker lap 1.46.5 WOW Tried on the next lap to go as fast as the car and mind would let me. Pulled a 1.46.8 Not good enough. Luckily I crossed the line in time for me to do another lap. That however I messed up completely. So 2nd it was. KUDOS to Phil. Race; As this track does not have a staggered starting grid I knew I had a chance at reaching turn 1 first. Had a blinder of a start, but then was to careful in Charlies because of the cold tires. That gave Paul Upham, who had a great start too, a good run me and passed me going up the hill. Nothing I could do about that. Followed him as close as I could for a few laps. At a certain point I got by him, but immediately messed up at the Mountain. Both Paul and Phil got by me as a result. I saw Phil was committed on passing Paul. I was thinking that that would end in tears and sorta tried to keep a bit of distance. Then at Mansfield both of them came together and as a concertina effect had me slightly tapping the rear of Phils car. Paul recovered for the incident well, but Phil ran wide. Back to the positions we had on lap 1. I noticed from Pauls driving he was slightly nerveous. I had to take advantage of that. Had a good run up the hill and we went side by side into Park corner. There despite me leaving enough racing room we touched and bot skidded off track. Both Phil and Toni got by. Not knowing if I was at fault I decided to give Paul the position. (After looking at the replay it was a race incident) So back to 4th. As I never give up concentration level went from 10 to 100. Heads down and take every opportunity to pass the car(s) in front. Passed Paul on the next lap at exactly the same spot where we had the incident. This time it did work. 3rd. From that point on I had to follow Phil around. Did not gat a chance to go for a pass as he was doing very fast laps. So did Toni who was in the lead. This went on for a good few laps. But as I was closing the gap on Phil, Phil was closing the gap on Toni. I saw Phil going for a pass. Toni lost a bit of speed giving me the chance to follow Phil through. 2nd. As the clock was ticking down so were my chances to finish on top. Phil was defending HARD. I had to wait for a mistake to have any chance. Then 5 or 6 laps from the end I had a good run on him going up the hill. Made the pass stick at Park corner. Then had to calm down a bit and make sure the remainig laps were clean. 1st. I have to say that this was one of the hardest and most rewarding races I had in a long time. Hats of to the faster guys in this race.
Weil, that seemed to be an exciting Race at the front. I would have loved to be close to that, but actually I was more far away from it than ever. Good Job Paul, always pity to end up fourth when leading the Race but still a great achievement to „dance“ with the fastest guys. Seems that I have to step up my Game otherwise I Cannot Complain to follow Paul ever again To my Race, I had Not a lot of practice but I was surprised to be the second slowest car. It did Not get much better with more laps. No idea why. Jose and Piazza did a good Job and even I Obertook Both, They kept pressure high until the very end.
think that I started riding the day before, but only 5 laps to do a random set-up. I even missed qualifying because I was having dinner. I'm sorry I hit you on the last lap, great fight. I hope we won't see this circuit again soon
an information. Do you know if there is a way to make the H gearbox work but without the clutch pedal here on assettocorsa? because I tried to shift into a higher gear but it doesn't shift, I have to stop to shift
Q Ruined my best lap that was going under .6 after sector 2. R Was going ok. Plan was to just enjoy the drive and keep up the leaders. Which for my surprise wasnt that bad. Around half race even got to P1. Then the shit happened again ..stupid gas pedal. Others just jettisoned to horizon. I had put 10% deadzone but it still started **** up my race. In time it means well over a second per lap. Soletimes less, sometimes more. Maybe for next one put gas on button. On -- Off
