As bouncy as Cleveland, but with the walls closer. Looking at the palm trees I think we will not have a Glen washout. LOL.

I grew up in So Cal 2 towns away from Long beach in a little surf town / art colony, laguna Beach & have been to and seen a lot of racing as well as driven in traffic on these very roads!:) & Yea they are bumpy. It's cool to see how they use the regular streets and transform them onto the track, it looks nothing like it does when all the barriers and grandstands are gone & some of the streets are One Way, the opposite way that were racing on them.:D

Hope AMS2 will also make the 70s-80s F1 layout of Long Beach... Which turns right after the straight instead of going around the fountain... Shoreline drive and Seaside way are some of the street names if I recall correctly.

I think the uphill part is after we turn right on Seaside Way. It is blocked by tyre barriers now LOL.

well 1st race stint with this game and setup worked ok. could have gone 30minutes easy on those softs it seems.
But i had 2 stop strategy and pitted like planned and those idiots dont change my tyres so i left the race.

How hard isit with this game to get pits going on dammit?

AMS2 is still a bit tricky& in beta as far as I'm concerned;) .. They do have a new release Canidate available now on steam if you 'opt in' that addresses some of the pit issues, they say its compatible online with either version so you won't get a mismatch if you want to try it. I only hope they start to address some of the MP issues we have been seeing. The left-over broadcast software from PC2 is 'less than ideal' and un-refined for AMS2 & not on par with how it works in PC2, I get all kinds of lag & fuzz when streaming in AMS2 that I don't see in PC2 . I do love the racing in AMS2 so I'm hopeful for the future of the sim as we continue to try to support it here at SRO :D

that was indeed a very buggy race, right off the start everyone started to "lag out" for a second and shortly later i got ran into (prolly not anyones fault)
    netcode is terrible in ams2
preferably get someone into the server with decent internet first and then let everyone else join, otherwise we are all lagging around.
game is mainly P2P even when using the dedi server! so first person to join is essentially hosting

    It's too bad indeed.
We also run a lot of PC2 series here using the same Ded /provider /server and we don't see these issues :(..
I have hosted some of the AMS2 events and not seen that much lag like I have seen in this cart series .
I have a 1gbt internet connection but I'm also in the US. so the euros seem to have a have higher ping and some of our players have long pauses but only in the first few laps of the race. Everything seems fine in P & Q. Players also simply get dropped regardless of who's hosting, leaving me to believe it's the net code. I don't think Reiza has even looked at the net code & is simply using what the PC2 madness engine came with. We know Reiza has made lots & lots of changes to the game /cars/ psyx/etc.. I think the net code needs to be looked at & catch up to possible game changes that have left it in poor shapeo_O..
I also agree & have read about the peer-to-peer performance. It seems regardless of using a ded or not it relies on the host to spread the connections. So, we need a powerful host!
On that note do any of you guys have a strong enough connection to try & host? any volunteers to test out the next round? Someone with a 1Gbt connection? I can't host & stream at the same time in AMS2 like I can in ACC or I would be hosting so we might just have to shut down the live broadcasts for AMS2 for now until Reiza at least LOOK's at the net code  but, I'm not holding my breath:confused::cool::eek:;)

well all that beeing said, car felt great. Had oversteery on exit so was really really fun to be there on the edge with it. Rear dancing around but still gripping and so on.
Quali pace wasnt there, apparently. Bravo @Gert-Jan van Osch but race pace was much closer and was aiming for even tyrewear.
With more testing i would taken 1 stopper with softs on this one.
So far i have positive feelings on this sim.
