    WARM-UP SESSION

I have extended the Warm-Up session to 165 minutes.

The warm-up session duplicates the race settings, and it will rain in the middle of the race.
When the warm-up starts, I will progress manually to the race after 5 minutes. That way it will not rain in warm-up and stay dry at the start.

One question, how can I join the server? Where can I view the server description and password? Tks?

Search SRO, pwd Silverstone's T15 lower case.

You will see the pwd if you're logged in by clicking on the track/event on the right side column. On race day it is different.

You can see the password on the page where you register for the race.
Like Kostas said ... type SRO in on the server list and look for SRO F1 1984 Imola Historic.
Also bookmark the server so you don't have to look for it again.

But you will have to register again, because I have removed you from the series because you were a "no-show" for Kyalami.
If you register again for the series, you also have to apply for a car again.

Bruno, next time, if you don't have time to race, please unregister for that event. No-shows are removed from the series and car choise deleted :)

    DRIVERS BRIEFING

    1. All 6 events of this series will be broadcast
Broadcasters: Rob Milliken & Neil Wood

    2. Imola Conditions
    1) The race will start at 02:00 PM (in-game time of course).
    2) Time acceleration is normal. Fuel = normal, tyres = normal.
    3) Cut Track points are set to 6
    4) 100% damage
    5) This event has NO formation lap. We race at the green light with a standing start.
    6) Qualification is NOT set to "private". We go out all together at the same time for 15 minutes.
    7) See the "DISCO PROCEDURE" 1 post below.
    8) It will rain in the middle of the race for about 18 minutes.
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU HAVE A HEADSET CONNECTED TO TEAM SPEAK, WITH OR WITHOUT A MIC.
WHILE ON THE SERVER, WE WILL ALL GO TO THE "RFACTOR2" ROOM ON TEAM SPEAK FOR THE RACE BRIEFING DURING WARMUP TO RECEIVE INSTRUCTIONS.

    3. The use of the Esc. key in Qualification
Use of the Esc key during Qualifying is the equivalent of stopping your car and getting out. This may be done only in your pit stall. There are very few exceptions to this rule. Here are the only two we will currently consider. These exceptions are subject to change at any time:
    1. You run out of fuel in pit lane before reaching your pit stall.
    2. You sustain damage to your car as a result of another driver and cannot make it back to your pit stall. You must prove your qualifying session was wrecked by another driver and that you made an attempt to return to pit lane.

If you use the Esc key in any location other than your pit stall, your Qualifying session is over and you may not return to the track.

    4. You can find the password for the race server on the Imola event page.

    5. Unregistering in time if you can't make it.

    6. Please use the SAME NAME in the rFactor 2 game as on our SRO signup list or it won't match in our automated result processing.

You can change your name in the rFactor 2 "Profile" menu.

    7. If you plan to PROTEST another driver, you have to wait 24 hours counting from the end of the race.
Any protest filed before that time will be viewed as not received. You can find the rules about submitting a protest here.

    8. You can find the server by typing SRO or the track name. Add the server to your favourites so you can always find it.
If you can't find the server in the rFactor 2 server list, you can access this way:
    1. click on this link: https://simracepackages.lima-city.de/rF2server/
    2. scroll down to "SRO" (it's alphabetical)
    3. choose the correct server and join with the password (see point 4 above)
    4. the server will start automatically and will take you to the event

Last but not least ... SIMRACINGONLINE wishes you a great race!
And always remember that your fellow SRO members have also put in a lot of time practising for this race,
so please be careful and respectful with your buddies.
    :)

    DISCO PROTOCOL

To prevent the loss of drivers to an event due to mass-disconnections, Sim Racing Online introduces the following protocol.
(TeamSpeak INFO - go to TS channel rFactor 2)

    ADDITIONAL INFO:
    - A group of discos of 3 or more have to happen within a time zone of 5 minutes, otherwise they are viewed as separate incidents. For exemple ...
Driver 1 discos at the start, driver 2 after 15 minutes and driver 3 after 1 hour, those are separate incidents.
    - The pits will remain open during a Full Course Yellow period.
    - After a disco you can rejoin with a fresh vehicle : When you get back in session, your car is brand new, ready to start in Pits and you can use "Drive" to get back on track.

..at the starting procedure there are 5 consecutive lights.

...dont get confused by 3rd starting light, it shows red and green ligths simultaneously (maybe a bug..) !! following by #4 (red lights) and #5 (green finally):

light #3 (3 reds AND 4 green ligths, no start yet..)

Shame about the brake failure 2 laps from the end. Still got an 8th place out of it, so it's not all bad.
I know why it happened. I had set the brake cooling to 1, the lowest because of the rain. But racing Nick Westy made me brake later and later until the bloody disc exploded.
    It's going back to 2 now. :)

Great broadcast by Rob and Neel. Well done guys!
