WELCOME TO ROUND 3 TOWNSVILLE STREET CIRCUIT

The Townsville 500 (formally known as the NTI Townsville 500) is an annual motor racing event for Supercars, held on the Reid Park Street Circuit in Townsville, Queensland, Australia. The event has been held since 2009.

The event was announced in late 2007, following the allocation of funding from both the federal and the Queensland state government. The event became the third Queensland event on the calendar, joining Queensland Raceway in Ipswich and the Surfers Paradise Street Circuit on the Gold Coast. However, Townsville did become the first major motor racing event to be held in the North Queensland region. The event is generally held in early July each year, which aligns with the school holidays of the Townsville State High School which borders the track.

Is this the same track version we used in the recent USF2000 series?

You all better practise the pit lane entry or you're gonna have issues. It's pretty narrow.
    Otherwise ... briljant track!

If I remember correctly we will be going at snails pace because the speed limit is so low!!

    Hi Bonni,
No you don't have to do that. rF2 downloads them automatically.

    Hi John,
    let me understand.
We race in a lot of championship and usually we send to the championship organizers our skins.
If for you is not needed, what we have to do exactly? We only need to add our skin in our rF2 folder? Or something different?

"ALT Skin" method... it will download to all clients when you join.

We talked about it but went V8 instead. Is this one of the leagues that will be open after the V8 season ends in April?

    Drivers briefing

    1. All 6 events of this series will be broadcasted
    Broadcaster: Rob Milliken

    2. Townsville Conditions
    1) The race will start at 02:00 PM (in-game time of course)
    2) Time acceleration is normal. Fuel and Tires are set to normal.
    3) Cut Track points are set to 6
    4) 100% damage
    5) This event has a Formation lap with a standing start
    - Tires: you can select the tire compound for Qual and Race in the Customize menu.

    3. The use of the Esc. key in Qualification
Use of the Esc key during Qualifying is the equivalent of stopping your car and getting out. This may be done only in your pit stall. There are very few exceptions to this rule. Here are the only two we will currently consider. These exceptions are subject to change at any time:
    1. You run out of fuel in pit lane before reaching your pit stall.
    2. You sustain damage to your car as a result of another driver and cannot make it back to your pit stall. You must prove your qualifying session was wrecked by another driver and that you made an attempt to return to pit lane.

If you use the Esc key in any location other than your pit stall, your Qualifying session is over and you may not return to the track.

    4. FORMATION LAP & STANDING START
At the end of the formation lap, please make sure you are lined up properly:
At the end of the formation lap, find your starting position (the red square)

Move up slowly to the RED ARROW until it disappears and brake.

    5. You can find the password for the race server on the Townsville event page.

    6. Unregistering in time if you can't make it.

    7. Please use the
SAME NAME in the rFactor 2 game as on our SRO signup list or it won't match in our automated result processing.

You can change your name in the rFactor 2 "Profile" menu.

    8. If you plan to PROTEST another driver, you have to wait 24 hours counting from the end of the race.

Any protest filed before that time will be viewed as not received. You can find the rules about submitting a protest here.

    9. You can find the server by typing SRO or the track name. Add the server to your favorites so you can always find it.
If you can't find the server in the rFactor 2 server list, you can access this way:
    1. click on this link: https://simracepackages.lima-city.de/rF2server/
    2. scroll down to "SRO" (it's alphabetical)
    3. choose the correct server and Join with the password (see point 4 above)
    4. the server will start automatically and will take you to the event
