This is gonna be quite a challenge! The car reacts really badly to the kerbs and high-speed corners, and the walls are beckoning...
Well my connection was unpredictable as usual and I had to pull over at the start of the race until it cleared up. Then at the end of the race I lost my connection a few hundred feet before the finish because my mobile hotspot switched off for some reason. I'll fix that and try to improve my connection before the next race. I bought a signal booster and it helped quite a bit but I think it needs more adjustment.
I was right behind you for a couple of laps Phil. Your car looked ok and there were no stuttering or warping issue that I could see. It was smooth so I hope you get the reliability part figured out. Start was exciting when a driver in front of me stalled. Had a good drive and tried several times to close the gap on Barrett but he was as consistent as I was and I could never get past him. Congrats to Johnny and Gert-Jan for the top spots and to Barrett for winning 3rd by 0.8 Oulton Park will be fun. Hope to see more drivers there.
Grats to Gert and Barrett for podium and to all the finishers! Track was tough but fun. You would think with so many straights, I'd have less wing. I was almost on the highest setting. Crazy. Gert was always on my tail. Played it safe and stayed away from the walls. I just pretended the car wasn't mine haha. Noticed Gert and Caitlin were kicked off at the start of Q. This happens to me. As of lately, I've turned down my video setting and my fps have gone way up and I seem to not get kicked from the server as of lately. Not sure if this is a solution but it's working so far. Just an idea. Anyways, on to the next track. Johnny,
I noticed during practice and qualifying that the rear was a bit unstable. To be on the safe side I added one click of ARB on the front. It made the car more stable but lost some of the rotation of the car in cornering. This cost me a few tenths per lap and I could not keep up with Johnny and saw him getting away a bit lap by lap. I also played it safe with the championship on the line. With 12 minutes to go gap was 6s to Johnny and over a minute to Barrett so I cruised the car home in 2nd. this was a great car track combo. CU later...
