    Broadcaster: Rob Milliken
    [IMG]

    2. Fuji Conditions
    1) The race will start at 03:30 PM (in-game time of course). The race will end in the night.
    2) Time acceleration = x 2. Fuel = normal / Tires = normal
    3) Cut Track points are set to 6
    4) 100% damage
    5) Race weather, see post #5.
    6) Qualification is set to "private". That means that you will be alone on track so you can put in your best time without traffic (point 3 qual rule still applies).
    7) YOU HAVE TO USE THE SAME CAR THROUGHOUT THE SERIES THAT YOU CHOOSE FOR YOUR FIRST EVENT.

HOW WE START THE RACE FROM NOW ON

    1. The pole sitter leads the Formation Lap at approximately 120 km/h.
    2. The Formation Lap is done in single file.
    3. When the Pole Sitter EXITS the last corner, the race STARTS.
    4. You can not overtake anyone BEFORE you exit the last corner.

    3. The use of the Esc. key in Qualification
Use of the Esc key during Qualifying is the equivalent of stopping your car and getting out. This may be done only in your pit stall. There are very few exceptions to this rule. Here are the only two we will currently consider. These exceptions are subject to change at any time:
    - You run out of fuel in the pit lane before reaching your pit stall.

If you use the Esc key in any location other than your pit stall, your Qualifying session is over and you may not return to the track.

    4. You can find the password for the race server on the Fuji event page.

    5. Unregistering in time if you can't make it.

    6. Please use the
SAME NAME in the rFactor 2 game as on our SRO signup list or it won't match in our automated result processing.

You can change your name in the rFactor 2 "Profile" menu.

    7. If you plan to PROTEST another driver, you have to wait 24 hours counting from the end of the race.

Any protest filed before that time will be viewed as not received. You can find the rules about submitting a protest here.

    8. You can find the server by typing SRO or the track name. Add the server to your favorites so you can always find it.
If you can't find the server in the rFactor 2 server list, you can access this way:
    1. click on this link: https://simracepackages.lima-city.de/rF2server/
    2. scroll down to "SRO" (it's alphabetical)
    3. choose the correct server and Join with the password (see point 4 above)
    4. the server will start automatically and will take you to the event

I went flat out whole race. That little Mazda had nothing more innit.
    Good race.

So, I just realised why I was so slow in the first stint.

I thought it was because I was on hard tyres. The car was understeering horrendously, but I thought the tyres were just rubbish and that it was upsetting the balance of the car. I stuck it out, hoping to still do just one stop.

Turns out I was on RAIN TYRES FOR 45 MINUTES AND DIDN'T EVEN REALISE!!!

And you know the worst thing? That's not even the first time I've done this. I did it in the Peugeot S2000 championship as well.

What a disaster. At least the second half of the race was fun.

Congrats to @Nick Westy for the win!

Sorry to @Matej Dakskobler for the awkward way I tried to let you through.

Had a stop-go penalty because I went forward on the grid when the countdown hit 0 instead of waiting for the lights. Lost about 35 seconds from that and it put me to the back, so I was forced to fight through the field. Finished 4th in the end but a bit disappointing overall. It's annoying that we're racing on some tracks with no pitlane speed limits but this one had one, so the penalty was much worse than any other round. Congrats to Nick on another win and Johnny and Toni on the podium finish.

As much as this series is fun and the races are enjoyable, it's a bit crap how the meta way to do well is to basically not use any boost at all in the first stint and to save as much fuel as possible, because the fuel stops are so long.

Yes fuel stop is little slow, lose 20 - 30 seconds there so mission impossible. Cant save it on my car if want to keep up on speedy track like this, but was a blast anyhow.

Maddie was on fire in qualy, piped to pole again, no way I could get into the 24s, felt sorry for her when she jump started on the formation lap but it did make my life easier at the start.

Decided to run a split strategy starting on the harder r600 tyres and going long then a shorter stint on the softer r500 tyres, Johnny seemed to be on the r500 so I could not keep the pace, he cut underneath me on the long right hander at turn 3 and was on the outside going into turn 4 but slightly ahead, I was on the inside and expecting to claim the apex but johnny decided to turn in and claim it but I was already committed on the dirty inside line and could not avoid contact, the spin put me down to 3rd so had work to do, overran turn 1 soon after lapping a back marker with the extra velocity due to the slipsteam which did not help, decided to look after my tyres as knew I was going to run the tank all the way down, at the pits I decided to put in 2l less than planned which was the right decision as my pit time was shorter anyway having pitted a few laps later than the leader, came out right behind johnny going into turn 1 regaining the 10s I lost from the spin, passed him into turn 2 and then tried to build a gap with fresher tyres until the end.

Unfortunately I am a province away from my racing kit, in beautiful Prince Edward Island, so I missed this race. I did get to watch the race and wow it was great. Good hard racing through out with more action than I expected for the long track. I hope to be home for the next rain free race at Spa.
Thanks to all you drivers for the entertainment and thanks Rob for the commentary. As I recall this was the first live sim race I have watched and found it more entertaining than many real races.

@Nick Westy well Johnny did not just decide to turn in. Rather he just drove normally while yes, you were committed to go for it, but i gotta say move was not going to end in any other way considering the speed you had while throwing your car into corner. Well ir could have ended worse for both of you. Little patience goes long way sometimes...

yeah it was a racing incident, I felt I could hold the position on the inside but it did not work out as johnny is really good on the brakes.

I thought about it and decided to open up anyhow because i think you could win much more races by holding back sometimes where risk/reward ratio just isnt there. And yes i think it would be concidered as racing incident.
Thamk you for not shooting the messenger :)
