    SERVER UPDATE

    The server is now on the latest build v1128 release candidate.
    To change, go to Steam/rFactor 2, right-click and select properties and under beta's: release candidate.
    Next: start up rFactor 2 and it will install automatically.

    I would like to change cars from the Audi to the Porsche. Do I have to unregister to do this? Sorry for the extra work but I find the Audi hopeless in my hands. It under steers into corners and over steers out of them. No amount of tweeks help. I thought about the BMW which seems the fastest car but there are so many of them. After 3 laps in the Porsche I was 3 seconds faster using the default setup. Maybe I am just more experienced with the Porsche or maybe it was just a lucky lap. I guess I would rather change cars and be more lucky than good. ;)

    You don't have to unregister if it's a car change in the same GT3 class.

    Something wrong with the server. Was going to do little run to see how car goes on this track but it got weird.
    1st it was dry and was doing ok. Did something with setup and tried again and lost like 2 seconds with 1 or 2 clicks of something. Felt weird. Then noticed track was suddenly wet!
    Skies were blue and there was no rain at all.
    Changed wet tyres and went on track and suddenly it was very wet! Clear blue skies and no rain.
    All of this happened in 20minutes or so.
    Also it showed all the time that its not raining by hud and track options showed as wet or very wet. Not % like used to.

    Yeah, after the last S397 v1128 release candidate update our rF2 servers are doing strange stuff.
    One of the problems is that you are not able to see other cars. You can hear them, but you can't see them.

    We are working hard to solve the problem, so stay tuned.

    Hi guys, I'm still unable to connect to the server as the installer is looking for the Acura DPi 2.0 mod, mine is 2.15. Do we need to downgrade or something to gain access to the server ? Did I miss something in the install process ?

    For me it was a little different and odd. Sunny sky's. A little wet but dry enough for the meds. Went out, ok grip and you can see maybe some water splash from my rear view but not much. Just here and their. So you would think the track was drying as time went on since no rear water coming from my car while driving around as time goes. Put on wets and went 5 seconds faster than the dry's but theirs no water on the track. lol :confused:

    Maybe this should be a dry race until I think S397 catches up with their stuff? Just saying. If not, hey I'll still race.

    Toni also reported this. Maybe there is a bug with wet weather on this track.
    I will remove the rain settings so we will have a 100% dry race. That's official now.

    THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED

    Since the release of v1128 release candidate, we are having problems with our rFactor 2 servers.
    The problem is that we can only see our own car and no other cars. Other cars are on the server, but invisible.

    We have done everything we can think of to solve the problem, but without success. Also been on the rF2 forums & Discord and tried all sorts of suggestions, but nothing worked.
    Our rF2 tech guy Ken Jagger is on holiday, so we have to wait until he comes back in 3 weeks time to solve the problem.

    We are very sorry that we have to cancel events because of this and sincerely apologize.

    On one hand I'm glad that I'm not the only one who is having problems with the latest update. So far I've been unable to get anything more than v1126 to work. On the other hand it's really sad to see that events have had to be cancelled. Can I confirm that weekend's event is cancelled rather than postponed? And does the same apply to all the other events in this series?

    For now, only this event is cancelled, because we will keep working on the problem of course.
    For tonight we have arranged for a crew of people who will take a look a the problem.
    It does however apply to all rF2 events for this moment that are scheduled.

    Sound effects now go up to 256. Maybe experiment with that?
