First thank you Ken for all the fun for us ! Second sorry to see that Jos , Brian , Stefan couldn´t make it tonight. Practice was hard thing, very close at the very last 10 min or so I manage to press Ken , Gerhard´s time. Qual did a small change in set up and was surprised to be able to do two 1:49 laps although high. Race had another great start and could get a clean first three corners, I could see that something was up as Ken and Gerhard was behind , Rob Jose Ed. So I got a good pace could manage tyre´s and line very carefully and so I manage to extend the gap lap by lap. Wanted to build some safety gap for own misstake ,and actually made some small but they where there.
You did what you needed to do Bjorn. Great start, I fluffed mine , and then put in some good, clean, fast, consistent laps to pull away and make it count .
Really fun driving these cars around Bugatti! Had a good time & was ready for the 2nd hour after crashing trying to adjust my pit stop ! Lol & sorry to Ed if I crowded you? I didn’t mean to , my car stuck pretty good to that inside line there so i thought i left room? Anyway good fun! ( i was was all set for hour #2 lol .. )
Grats to Björn, fastest in all sessions, Pole and win by leading the whole race. Impressive victory mate!!! Ken and me had nearly Björns pace, but after our kiss in corner one our cars were damaged and not competitive anymore. After watching the replay i must say: racing incident, it was a tiny bit of contact with big impact. Lets do a nice finish at Knockhill!
I got confused as I thought that its a 45 min race as usual when I got the fuel warning and I saw the remain 1:05 min . I couldn't stay for another hour so I just run until out of fuel and exit. See you guys next time. (this time I will check the race length before )
Not your fault at all Rob. I took a peek over at you on the inside and accidentally hooked the berm on the left which caused me to go off track a bit. I had done the same thing in practice so I knew better then to ride over that berm. But it was a fun race. I didn't think I was going to be able to hold you off at the end. Definitely was wishing it was a 45 minute race at that point.
