Well this week has gone well.. Been unwell for the last few days... still not got any practise on this track in ACC, literally no laps ever... never got the rhythm right in any other game its in.
That was a fun race. COTA is an epic track! Took too much pressure out of my tyres at the pit stop, made my car more “interesting” to drive, lol. Still able to fight, but I really struggled to stay anywhere near a mark through the last few fast corners. What wing were you running? I had nothing but understeer through there.
Wing wise I was on defaults for the car which might have been around the middle setting, not sure. The BMW is quite well balanced but i thought the Merc was quite similar. If your talking about that long righthander, its a horrible corner if i came in full speed you had to lift to make the corner and be able to accelerate through the rest of it. I noticed you were braking off and on through there a few times. Roberto could have just had a lonely race based on his practise times, maybe i surprised myself with my times but an intense race with Simon for most of it as we seemingly both struggled at times to navigate the track! The left hand apexes are completely blind with the large A pillars in the car. As we were tripping over ourselves Ricardo appeared out of nowhere and would have gotten past if i hadnt knocked him off, so sorry for that.
I also thought the track was fun and challenging! Once you settle in those sector 1 S’s are quite fun in these high downforce GT3’s ! To bad our numbers are so low for ACC lately . Im not sure what to do about it .. there's not allot that can change with the tracks & cars we have the GT4’s and that cool BMW but the BMW series fell on its face & that car is built for league racing….
The BMW was dull as hell to drive, which for most people driving around on there own isnt much fun. I dont get why people raved about it.
