Well, it looks like there are only 5 people crazy enough to buy a whole GT3 car pack for € 35,00 and then not drive it on behave of a free DPI.
Are there any more people with mental health issues that want to join us?

    Drivers briefing

    1. This event will be broadcasted
    Broadcast team: EithaRacingTeam
    Broadcasters: Nassim, Lorenzo & Sameer
Twitch broadcast link: https://www . twitch . tv / eitharacing (delete the spaces)

    2. The use of the Esc. key in Qualification
Use of the Esc key during Qualifying is the equivalent of stopping your car and getting out. This may be done only in your pit stall. There are very few exceptions to this rule. Here are the only two we will currently consider. These exceptions are subject to change at any time:
    1. You run out of fuel in the pit lane before reaching your pit stall.
    2. You sustain damage to your car as a result of another driver and cannot make it back to your pit stall. You must prove your qualifying session was wrecked by another driver and that you made an attempt to return to pit lane.

If you use the Esc key in any location other than your pit stall, your Qualifying session is over and you may not return to the track.

    3. Race Conditions
    1) The race will start at 07:00 PM (in-game time of course). That means we will race into the night.
    2) Time acceleration is x 5
    3) The race will be dry from start to finish.
    4) The duration of this race will be 1 hour and 32 minutes (including formation lap).

    4. The race starts with a formation lap. Right after leaving the last corner, we double file in qual order.
    a. When the DPI pole-sitter crosses the start-line, the race begins for DPI;
    b. When the GT3 pole-sitter crosses the start-line, the race begins for GT3.
    c. The GT3 pole-sitter will hold a 5 second gap to the DPI class on the formation lap.

    5. Each class pole-sitter will do the formation lap approx. 120 km per hour.

    6. The server password will be changed on race day. You can find the password for the race server on the Sebring event page.

    7. Unregistering in time if you can't make it.

    8. You can find the server by first typing sro.

    9. Please use the same name in the rFactor 2 game as on our signup list or it won't match in our automated result processing.

    10. IF YOU ARE CHANGING CLASS FROM GT3 TO DPI, MAKE SURE YOU ALSO CHANGE IT ON THE SIGNUP LIST.

    11. Last but not least ... SIMRACINGONLINE wishes you a great race!

Edit: Already making mistakes on the winners haha.

Congrats Sameer and Nicola on the wins! Grats "Giless" on the championship! I see more of these in your future. Good racing all. Congrats to the broadcasting team as there always wonderful with there play by play casting. Awesome. Apologies to Carl on the start formation lap. I was discombobulated as I forgot where I was. Could have sworn I was 3rd but I was wrong. Carl's own words. What the heck is this guy doing?!

Race went well. I raced my own race. Racing my time or trying to be as close to it as possible lap after lap. Luis was very strong at the beginning. I fought but didn't fight to hard as the race was looooong. Would have eventually just let him by but he backed off a bit. 21 minutes into the race, I realized I was on safety car fuel mixture settings. Crap. By then, I was in no mans land. There was a lot of cars on the track but I wish we had more haha. Something happened to Toni. I jumped Carl when he went into the pits. I didn't change tires. Maybe the reason why. I know there was more action but just tired as the sun never came up. Were we racing in Alaska? :)

Anyways, congrats to all who raced and showed up as it was enjoyable.

    Johnny,

Edit: Congrats to [insert name here] for winning the GT3 championship - I've actually no idea who won and was just going by what Johnny had wrote. So - apologies to Sameer and congratulations to Johnny if I completely #@~*"% it up in my original post.

Congratulations to Sameer for winning the GT3 championship; really well deserved.
Commiserations to those who should have won the DPI category. Particularly to John. He probably deserves it the most and possibly would have won if an injury hadn't prevented him from starting the final race.
Never in the history of anything has there been a less deserving 'champion' than me. I honestly believe that every driver who took part in the series is faster than me. But 'Team Tortoise' will go to his grave, delighted in the knowledge that I actually won a SRO series! (Not just won a series, but the first series I've entered and to date, the only series I've completed!) Until hearing the bombshell news, while watching the (excellent as ever) Eitha Racing Team broadcast of the previous race, I had absolutely no idea I was even in the running for the championship and thought John had at least one hand and a couple of fingers on the 'trophy'.
Anyway, deserving or not, I'll take it, because I'm certain it will never happen again!
Again, congratulations to Sameer, commiserations to Johnny and a big Thank You to Eitha Racing Team and to SRO - the best online sim racing site on the interweb.
(I can't believe my prize is a drive in a real Formula 1 car and a date with John's beautiful sister!)
Hope to bump into all of you at Silverstone . . . :)

LOLOLOL! I love this guy ...

And all at the same time!

You are too modest Gilles. If you won the championship, that means you did better than the rest of us. Points don't lie ;)
    A big congratulations to you!

Good 1st stint racing with Carl. Should have started with softs but had mediums instead.
After stop took softs and got little 'trigger happy' so blew my engine.
All in all was in total awe how that Nicola's car took corners. Like T1 with 4th gear and early exit everywhere plus turning in so nicely.
I was 3rd gear T1 and sometimes still in trouble plus turning into slowones was understeery.
Too bad work took away most of the season and ty for the races.

    GG's,

    Toni

Huge congratulations to @Johnny Gutierrez and @Gilles da'Silva on their championships! Thoroughly well deserved :)

So sorry for being a waste of space on Sunday. I started to develop a migraine style headache at lunchtime, tried to sleep it off a bit but didn't work.

Lovely tension one, pain across the shoulders and up the back of the head, felt like my head was splitting open, lol.

So I could concentrate for a few laps but then I started to screw up, wasn't seeing the marker boards properly or getting my gears wrong for the corners. Bit of a disaster.

I think I was more worried about taking out a GT3 car than anything else so I just had to stop.

Shame as the track looked great at sunset and the setup wasn't too bad, I needed to work on it a little though as the bumps were causing me to bounce around too much under braking, which wasn't helping with the confidence.:D

Going to take a break for a bit, I need to do some work on the new PC (a few changes I wanted make that may or may not work so I need to test them out, etc.)

Thanks again for SRO for setting these events up :)
