Sorry but im on a good quali lap, for me, and someone comes out of pits right behind me and chases me around the track. I have what is almost a forced error just because someone faster on an "out lap" cannot just give me a little room seeing that my lap is counting sorry I wont be racing tonight
Martyn keep your chin up bud dont get disheartened just have fun plus give us your #?? because I have done your skin first
Sounds frustrating and it is indeed reasonable to show some respect to the "backmarkers" if this was just an outlap. For me Spa seems not my favorite place, the start of race one was some kind of funny because I was cautious and everybody around me benefited from that. At least I survived and was then chased by Stefano who faught with me for the reversed grid pole. He was faster and snatched it in the closing stages away from me. During our fight I found out that these cars can actually drift very well, ok I had a little help. For race two I had a better start and benefited from things that happend around me, although even a jump start from Tim did not prevented him to finish in front of me lol Sorry Jacopo for my hit at the bus stop, I felt not comfortable there, luckily it only made Tims work a bit easier but I do not think that this changed something. And in the end I had a deja-vu because Stefano chased me again and overtook me in the closing stages.
Sorry for taking the huff..was getting a bit frustrated there...was stuck in work today for 2 extra hours and was realy tired tonight. Sorry for my rant and any negativity it caused
My last qualifying lap was good enough for pole. At the start I had a slight collision with Frans but could continue. Bart had a good run and overtook me going downhill. After that it was my turn to use push to pass going up Eau rouge and overtook him again. I couldn't break away from Bart and suffered a slight loss of front grip in the closing stages. Bart got too close to me at the 'straight' before the last chicane and tapped me several times. I could barely keep it on track. Did make it clear to him in the chicane I was not pleased by this move. At the last lap I got close but before entering the last 'straight' my friggin' wheel did not register my downshift from 5th to 4th so I had no chance whatsoverer to place a final attack when I went into the gravel... Still fuming from race 1 I made a false start tapping Simon and making my frist official drivethrough Rejoining (almost) last I noticed a crash on Kemmel straight gaining two places. Several overtakes later I was behind Chris in fourth. With two laps to go he fudged up the corner before Pouhon. I managed to get past but could not loose him. He had one ptp left and used it on the final 'straight' but my line was already covered. Still happy with third after my 'magnificent' start. Too bad it didn't work out on my hometrack. Hopefully Silverstone brings me more luck. Cheers, Tim
had two nice races, ended the second in 5th, best result yet. I was on pace on the first sector, but the others I still had too many mistakes... wonderful track, can't wait to try it on some open wheels I really think you should apologize to stefano, he might have been too close on your good lap, but you deliberately crashed him ruining his quali.
Aaargh, this is my favorite track and I happened to be home yesterday, but life was just too chaotic and I didn't think about joining the race. Oh well. Watching Franz's race 2 replay it looked like there was a lot of unnecessary carnage on Kemmel on lap 1. These cars can support some close, exciting racing, but bumping people off track to gain a position is just not in the spirit of the league. I hope it wasn't actually as bad as it looked in the video.
please do not rate my post ... I got very frustrated last night and bumped Stephano off the track . No excuses for my behaviour . Sorry Stephano I feel really bad
