Hi mates! Please register for the follower of this great series. Thanks to Ken for creating this idea! https://simracingonline.co.uk/racing/seriesinfo/259
Hi Guy´s Just like you to know. Not sure I make it tonight , " dinner at the beach " Nice weather in Sweden for once
Incredible race from Björn. He went off like a rocket and killed us with alien speed. He would have deserved the championship but he lost all with his jumpstart in Dubai. At the end it was 1 Point!!!! My race was ok for 30 min, but than i lost grip tremendous. At the end P4 was enough-lucky me. Thank you for joining. Please lets stay together, this community is great and is growing! Julian, Viktor and Helmut joined in and will stay, next series Klaus and maybe another guy will join. And the next series will be a great show: https://simracingonline.co.uk/racing/seriesinfo/259
Hi Guy´s Been looking at replay for 20-30 times . It sure looks a bit strange I took it more easy this start than ever before, due to the Dubai fault. I was surprised that Julian was stuck , so I just throw the car at my right and was still a bit hesitated. But then I just had to go couldn´t hang around Was penalty system on/off. Can you see better start replay Ken?
Hi All, Congratulations to Gerhard for the championship and Bjorn for the race win, I made a mistake shortly after the start and went off the circuit, I ended up last, so had to then fight back, but really enjoyed the fightback. Close championship with a point in it between Bjorn and Gerhard. The race for me was a mess, I knew I had the speed but didn't think I would do the whole race without at least one mistake on that circuit, I think i made 4 or 5 , but it was still good fun and I think I had a good tussle with most. Brian was doing a really good job of defending, good close racing, then I made another mistake, oh well that's racing. This has been my first championship with SRO and it has been a lot of fun and a good community, it hopefully can only grow. I'm Looking forward to the next championship and to race all the races, work permitting, and thankyou to Ken for his hard work and to all for the good racing. Cheers.
The result of the Championship could actually have been different if not for the intrusion of an Avast AV popup which ended my race, by freezing the screen and putting me off track heavily at the uphill entry to the hairpin. At the start I was slow away due to the high grip of the rear tyres plus the almost on/off nature of the clutch pedal sensitivity. I really must look at the clutch sensitivity options to try and improve that for future. Still I was much happier at this track at being on the pace once again after a rubbish race at the last event. I was able to catch and pass some of those ahead until making a couple of mistakes after getting on Brian's tail, dropping me back again. Eventually I clawed the gap back and gained 2nd place which is when the Avast issue intruded and decided to screw my comeback After that the car wouldn't hit max revs in 5th gear, so I decided to retire rather than sit in the pits for several minutes to fix it, which wouldn't have gained me anything more ultimately. After checking today for server options, it's not possible to set an option for jump start only but not for track cutting, which as we all know is quite severe in PC2. This is why we have the penalty system set to off. With our previous server host we may have had it set to on which is why you possibly got the jump start penalty in the earlier race of this series. For the next series I can either leave it off and manually check the start from the replay after the race and then issue a time penalty, which would be a bit messy, or set penalties on and live with the cutting time slowdown penalties. Neither is ideal so what do you guys think?
Hi Ken, I can see the dilemma with the penalty system in PC2, awkward one, I'm easy either way, however I can only say that racing with you all that no one seems to deliberately exploit the track or rules. Accidents do happen and this needs to be put down to trust on all our parts and if anyone thinks they jumped the start or exploited track limits or took an unfair advantage then they can yield the position. We all feel bad if we do something accidental. With all the close racing having the full penalty system on might break the flow of the racing as it can be harsh at times. In my opinion no one is trying to exploit the race circuits deliberately, if however it appears it is getting exploited or incidents cause bad feeling between drivers then it can be turned on and let the game decide. In the respect of the fun and close racing in the PC2 series then I'm ok for it to be off. Just my two pence worth. I did see you go off when you were in P2 and thought where is he going, because you just drove straight off the track, my VR done that to me once racing when my controller battery was low. wow I know the pain.
The start makes this victory a mixed emotion . Can´t really get it off my head . And start is so important , specialy with those KTM they are so slow off the grid. This race and the Rapuna race was my best I say that.
Big congratulation to team mate Gerhard for total victory so well deserved and to Brian who made it nr 3. And to Julian that really set awesome pace in every race he participated in. Great thank you to Ken for all his hard work make this serie work, and he also always find a way to be fast! Impressive ! And a thank you to all that participated , really fun and clean racing Hope to see you all soon again.
Hi Björn. Dont think about the start. At the end we all were lucky, not to get lapped by you. Outstanding pace and consistancy. Next series will be a decision between you and Julian. Thanks for your support and this great series.
Great racing again. Congrats to Gerhard winning the championship and same to Bjorn for the race win. I had a good start again getting into second (Clutch practice ) I then managed to keep a steady pace with tyres in mind particularly the front left, I decided to stay behind Gerhard for most of the race just waiting for an opportunity to get a pass and I did as Gerhard went wide. Ken then passed me but I seen him go straight on at the hill corner which I thought was a bug or lag . Julian was unlucky with the mistakes as his pace was strong, I did have to defend every time he was behind me but his mistakes were my good luck . Thanks to Ken for organising and keeping us all on track and looking forward to next event. We have a good bunch of racers and hope to get some more to join. Until we meet at the next event, Happy racing guys.
Hi Guys, The racing has been brilliant with you all, Bjorn I agree with Gerhard, take a chill pill, awesome race mate, you deserved the win, cant wait for the next series, it has been fun for me, love racing with you guys. Cheers all.
First about the race I was completely out of pace, just a couple of laps before in here and I just nailed to be on time for qualy so no chance for practicing and just keep on steady lap times to avoid easy mistakes, even I end up with a couple of spins. Second thanks to Ken and the team for making this series happening, its enjoying to drive with you guys even if I need to step up a little bit to be more on the fights Regarding the penalty system I agree with Julian, this is a very good group not only top drivers but also sportsmanship guys that came were to have fun racing with clean, good and honest fights. During the last series I saw that happened several times when someone makes a mistake be the first to come forward and apologize and everyone takes it as honest mistakes and as they says "no further actions are required" and that says a lot about this group.
