Well done mates, this was a good finisher of a long and hard series. Grats to Julian, he took the championship more than deserved. His pace is outstanding at the moment, nobody can defeat him but himself. Please lets stay together and join the follower-series GT4. https://simracingonline.co.uk/racing/seriesinfo/278 All the best and merry christmas to all of you!!!
This race was a bit of a mess for me, I couldn't put a good lap together in quali, I'd miss an apex or run wide on every single lap. After that I started the race fairly well, managed to keep up with Julian and even close in on him, but then I had a spin and damaged my front left suspension. I fell back to 3rd place behind Gerhard and had a similar pace as him. I thought I'd try something different and pitted to fix the damage and get a new set of tyres. Unfortunately I had the wrong pit strategy set, so I didn't get my suspension fixed. I came back in 4th place and hoped that I would have enough pace to catch Ken, but I had the same lap times, staying exactly 10 seconds behind him. The end was also a bit scuffed, I almost ran out of fuel, I had 1L left when I crossed the line. Overall I really enjoyed this championship, made quite a few mistakes strategy-wise, but hey, I'll be able to learn from them next series. I really need to work on my consistency if I want to have a go at the championship, so I'll focus on that. If anyone has any tips, please let me know As a wild idea - can we do a snowy race next season? Merry christmas, take care everyone!
Sorry to see you had that spin Viktor, I think that could have been an interesting race , you did seem to be on pace so I think it would have been a close race. I think that is a hard track to be consistent on, but as with all tracks consistency certainly is the key to a good result ,not always outright speed, but its so easy to make a mistake when under pressure. Congrats to Gerhard and Ken on their results, you just know the both of them are always there to pounce if you have a mishap!!. I have enjoyed this series with the BMW and got on well with it, but I have had a crack at the GT4 G55 but cant drive it for lolly at the moment , so I think I have a big learning curve ahead, What I do think is there no where to run off to in that car so it should be close racing Thanks to Ken and the Admins for their work this year. I hope everyone has a great time over Christmas and see you on track for the new series.
