Does your rf2 take forever to load? There is a possible fix for this! <snip's from rf2 forums> Search rFactor 2\UserData\player\Settings for rcd files if your boot time is slow. I got 9800 .rcd files in the ASTON MARTIN setting folder just deleted all of them and now the game loads instantly a fellow of mine had 22,000 times the same file, it is known because when you start rfactor it takes 5 or 6 minutes to load, when you see the rcd file of each vehicle, you will see that there is one repeated infinity of times, in my case more than 9000 times, with the same information ,, team name and pilot name ,, for some reason the rfactor starts creating it again and again, until it stops and the file is duplicated 9000 or more times. Give it a try if your rf2 takes forever to load!
I seem to remember this file is connected to replays if you save them on your client. Deleting them will result in the replay of any file it is connected to and will no longer play.
Not sure about that .. but it may affect replays if the rcd files relate to skins that are removed from a saved replay? but idk and its not so much all the rcd's, just the ones that you see repeating hundreds of times .. They mentioned another way to keep rcd files down is to turn off "download custom skins" .. It also depends on your hard drive, I don't suffer from the slow load times anymore after switching to an M2 solid state drive. my rf2 now loads in about 10 seconds.
