   Just in case anybody has a similar problem.
   When I went to "Vehicles" in game and selected the R500 it wouldn't allow me to buy it unless I got 1950 "additional experience points". I tried joining the server but the R500 didn't come up as an option. So I loaded a race using one a "Classic" version and did the ISI_BABYFACTORY trick and now I can access the R500's when I join the server.
