Race 1 @ Silverstone general info : Qual @ 19:30 -20 min session PARC FERME - you can change fuel & tires (not tire pressure) Race @ 20:00 formation standing 55 min . Tire rule: Mandatory 1-4 tire change. this can be done at any time after the green flag drops . If you break the 4 tire rule you will be DQ . Silverstone has a working DRS zone so you will want to use the 2013 car equipped with DRS ,however its not mandatory but remember that guy on your tail probably has DRS ! ( for races without working DRS zones we will be using the 2012 car ) .. I want to Thank all the drivers and teams that signed up and wish them good luck in the championship ! we have a great grid and i expect everyone to respect there fellow drivers in this series ! these cars should provide some nail biting action so lets try and keep the incidents down ! Well done those that finished. Great job. Considering I was really throwing myself in the deep end there I didn't do too badly! I've just treated myself to a Fanatec wheel but haven't even had chance to set it up on RF2 yet so took ten minutes of frantic clicking and button pressing to get everything working. Managed to get into the 58's a few times so not too bad considering no laps but I've done 100's of laps round here before, the other circuits I've never driven on so they will be more a challenge. I had to retire due to an accident of my own doing and broke the suspension. Congrats to the podium and looking forward to the next one. Only had a few hours sleep due to work so I'm a bit tired! See you all next time.

These cars are fun to drive and thanks to my teammate for helping me out with my setup. It was my first dtm race and I will be back next time. After getting through the mayhem on lap one (no fun for some but exciting for me) my race was looking good until I got disconnect. The rejoin option saved the day twice for me. So I am very happy for that and happy about the turnout. Grids at SRO are getting larger. Sorry to see the protests. I'm sure they will be resolved fairly. See ya next race.
I managed to get through the carnage and found myself in 5th I had decided to pit early did not want any fuel but it was locked on the default 7 laps of fuel could not change it, Got fuel and tyres then I had a lot of trouble trying to restart, engine would fire up then stop that cost me another 20 seconds more in the pits.

apologies to John Vg just caught his rear at turn 4 at the start of the race, slowed down & thought I'd let him past before the old pits, but it wasn't him, he'd retired didn't think there would have been any damage as it was only a slight touch. surprised myself finishing that high up, thought the others would catch me after the pitstops
