For round 3 The SRO FKR DTM travels from the scratch built fantasy track of ISI's Toban to the iconic Norisring Germany ! Shaped more like a lightning bolt than a race track this place will for sure provide some intense battles . With average laps times in the 48's it's going to be hectic to say the least & to add to the excitement Norisring does have a DRS zone so For round 3 we will be using the 2013 cars ! **make sure you practice with the right car ! ** There are no DRS track markers at Norisring there are simply 2 white lines ... what track tests have shown us is it has the Detection zone and the Activation zone or 'DRS Zone' The way it works is because of the size & length of the track the DRS zone allows you to use it for the entire lap if you are within 1 sec of the car in front (once server messages that "rear flap now available" ,usually about 3 laps into the race) when you cross the Decetion Zone if this is true once you get to the DRS Zone line you can use DRS for that whole lap see bellow .. (disclaimer: there is no written information to back this DRS info up- these findings were the result of on line testing) RACE INFO Q start time: 19:30 BST 20 min \ Parc Ferme , free to change after parc ferme: tire compound (not tire pressure) ,starting fuel ,fuel strategy ,Rad, Mixture ,break bias and a few other minor engine tuning pre sets .The chassis will be locked ! WU: 10 min Race: 20:00 BST 55 min Start: formation/standing Pit Stops: 1 mandatory pit stop with 4 tire change . Pits are open from green to checkered The 2013 cars use 2 tire types the SOFT and the OPTION so if you don't have these 2 tires your in the wrong car with no DRS .. SERVERS UP !!
ok, na etapa passada o parque nao estava fechado se tiver como testar antes da corrida seria uma boa, abraço otimo campeonato.
If you are talking about the parc ferme not working in round 2 yes it was a glitch ! it worked in practice but not in race ..is fixed for round 3 ;-) Se você está falando sobre o parc ferme não trabalhando na segunda rodada, sim, foi uma falha!
I did mention it on the other forum page but just to confirm on here. Due to an event I'm attending I won't be able to make it to this one I'm afraid. I'll probably be finished around 9pm BST so a little too late. I'm day off Thursday from work so I'll probably still be jumping on the server to run some laps, even if only to play with the game settings to see if I can make the braking more stable. Especially on a circuit like this one! lol. Hope you all have a great event though
I had some issues with my wheel (T500), online, on this track. After few laps my wheel start shaking continuously in centered position, like a jackhammer. It is very annoying. Off-line didn't happen. I made 40 laps qually and race and everything was OK. I will try tomorrow, but if start to shake in race, I'm afraid I couldn't finish.
Did you try to turn down the FFBMULTI in the game? i have to put mine to .75 it defaults to 1.0 (you can do this when on the server under settings/controllers)
This is because you are braking the wheels in braking, there and the same thing is with the square wheel, to soften it, you change the FFB Somoting to 10 or 12 there, but that takes away the sensitivity of the reaction of the car, you You think the car is good but it's not going to work.
Yes that could be it ! if you Flat Spot the tires they will rattle like crazy ! so any hard breaking that causes a slide can introduce flat spots !
Nice Grid guys ! 23 signed up ..if we get 1/3 of that to show we will have quite the race here at Norisring ! REMEMBER this place is crazy ! Set you car up to stop the 'snap over steer on exit' so you don't go around in the hair pins !! lol ... & then theirs the wall's in the chicane You need to be on your game here for sure ! Things can get ugly in a hurry at this place so PLEASE BE CAREFUL!! lets not have any un necessary roughness ..
Shame I can't join you but I'll be looking at the live timing to see how large the field is. If you get around 16-18 that would be brilliant! In the last round when I struggling for grip a little I had what I suppose you could call a half spin and that easily damaged the tyres. On the straights the wheel was shaking quite badly. So it doesn't take much to flat spot them
No harm done John.. happens Damm... i'm tired I'll tomorrow the (my) story for this race, and some pictures when Rob inserts the Replay
