rFactor 2 Starting Issue

    New issue..... I tried updating my Nvidia video driver, my frame rate when to 12. ...so I tried to uninstall it, and obviously did something.
    When I try and start rF2 now, it will not start, it posts a situation as per the attached file.
    If I can't get it running, I'll not be running rF2 again.

    It just comes back with adding more " of the same + more of the same" more and more. No error. It's a problem with steam I think.

    Try removing those options from your client Launch parameters. I don't have them in my client so not sure why you need them.

    I have no idea how to even do that? I have an icon on my desktop, are those in there?
    This is just too much BS, thanks for the help though.

    Not really, its fact not BS.

    Right click on rFactor 2 in Steam, then select Properties. On the tab which opens delete whatever is in the Launch Options line.

    Launch rF2 from Steam not from the desktop icon.

    Have you tried starting rF2 from Steam?
    If you right-click on your desktop shortcut and select properties, does it have anything similar as you have mentioned at the end of the Target line?

    Yea, I checked a lot of stuff, I'm in contact with steam and studio 397 (or whatever). There are a lot of people with this problem. I was just hoping someone here knows what is going on, as those steam/397 people sure don't.

    the url: line sayes "steam://rungameid/365960"

    .... it all doesn't make much sense unless you are a programmer.

    "Did you try to verify your game files?" I have no idea what this means. But, I reinstalled rF2, I think that covers it.

    Hi Darrel, in steam right click on rf2, go to properties, then local files then verify inegrity of game files. Hope this sorts your problem.

    yeah, i had the same problem a few months ago. are you launching from a desktop shortcut? if you're still having the issue, Ken correctly id'd the solution for me: delete the shortcut then create a new one.

    new shortccut did not work. away from home and internet is not good, will verify files. This doesn't look good.

    I verified my Steam/rF2 filel, a the files check out. Looks like this is the end of my racing career.

    Try moving the player folder from ..\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData\ to somewhere else e.g. your desktop and then start rf2 and you should have to create a new player profile. It will test whether or not there is something wrong with the player profile settings. You can always move your original player folder back if needed.

    As another thing to try, check on the rf2 Properties\BETAS tab in Steam. Try switching to "previous-release" and see if it starts.

    Thks, I just looked at that. No help.
    rF2 wil not even start, I reinstalled rF2 and it doesn't even get that far cause it will not start. This is steam locking it up before it will even launch. I know nothing about steam, but I got a ticket started, I'm not expecting much help from them.

    Has anyone here uninstallled and reinstalled steam. That is my last hope and looking for pointers or tips.

    The changes I suggested trying are done in STEAM not in rF2.
