Talk About Anything

Does anyone here have Race07? I do most of my racing there but I recently uninstalled it all and then installed it and now the add ons I have don't show up. Anyone know a fix or have experienced this before if they have it?

 

If you have it on steam it should download your addons when downloading race07 if not they should be in your game library then download 1 of them at a time.
A lot of the sim community don't really use race07 anymore mainly rf1 rf2 gtr2 game stock car and assetto corsa when the multiplayer and all the bugs have been sorted.
Most sim used I would say rf1 that has a lot of addon mods like f1 gp2 etc.enduracers is the mod almost everybody uses because it has gt cars lmpc gt2 gt1 p1 and p2

The endurance racing they are trying to get sim racers interested in here at sro uses the enduracers mod because it allows for up to 24hour races

 

Oh right, Perhaps its just a bug with steam. Last night I uninstalled all of the packs and then re installed them. Need to test it yet.
I have GTR2 which is why I joined here but it looks really dated, worse than Race07.

Edit: I've got it working again. I'll see you on track for a bit GTR2 but I won't be on much after the race probably due to other commitments.

 

I watched a video of some of the mods for rfactor and it looks amazing although im not sure if my system can run it although I don't really want to buy rfactor knowing that they are making another game that will overshadow it.

 

Ok, It might be something I look into getting. I've run the demo before on my laptop but I seem to remember my rather old wheel not working with FFB. That was another issue I forgot to mention.

 

I agree with the admin (dont know exactly who is it? maybe Nigel?). I have rf2 too but it caused many probs with older machines. Poor framerates and you have to reduce the  graphic options very much. I would say rf1 is still the better game. Another great game can be Assetto Corsa in the future imo.

I've always been on console really until about 2 years ago until I purchased Race07 and GTR2. Have never gone further than those games yet. GSCE could be a possible venture aswell although its a little limiting I think.

 

I understand you and i have Race 07 resp. GTR2 as well. The games are pretty cool but currently the best is rf1 imo. I have played so many games started 1998 with Nascar 2, then Nascar 3, Nascar 99, Nascar 4, Nascar 2002, Nascar Racing 2003 and GPL. All developed by Papyrus. Then GTR, GTR2, GTR EVO, GTL, all RACE 07 with all addons. A lots of F1 games, ARCA (its a Nascargame) and now rf1, rf2 and AC. So i hope i have all :-]

Yeah i have installed the 4 GB patch and added the +fullproc +highprio in the properties of the startbutton. That means now i have between 200 and over 300 fps in rf1. Fantastic!!!

 

I'm certainly going to get it soon, no doubt about it. Will be good to get a full season on Rfactor in the summer maybe. I'm sure planning will be done for that at a later date though. If we get members that stick around then the date of that season could quite possibly come sooner.
