Hi Just found this site, I really want to get involved in racing simming, the no accident racing worries me I crash every circuit , I have a mid range PC with Assetto corsa and Project cars 2. I have rfactor 2 running but only just.

I don't want to race you guys just yet until I get used to it, but I will

I have the 920 wheel and shifter, I must say its really good. I mashed together my homemade cockpit but will buy the proper one when I have funds, I also want a hand break.

Hey bud, if you're having trouble with crashing on every race, don't fret, you're quite normal. You're probably just overdriving yourself or the car, or in some cases, your rig. Try slowing down a bit, focus more on getting out of corners faster than you went in. It's damn tiring, but you'll be faster and safer.
If that fails, get in some races and follow everyone else until you start getting a feel for it

    Hi Mark,
Although I''m not crashing that often (maybe because I'm too carefull ) I am pretty much on a similar learning path.
Taking part in the races works for me. The only thing is that you should not bother to be in the back of the field.... It's racing so anything can happen :)

Hm, what (I feel) helping me is before every race I practice offline with AI set a little (or more) under my driving level and trying to stay in the middle of the field. Trying to pass some cars and let others pass me. In this way I get used with cars around me.
But as Rob said, it is racing and anything can happen. The if you made a mistake, the most important thing is to learn from it. And apologize after the race ;). I don't think anyone can say he never make a mistake. You know "to err is human ..."
    And ... welcome :)
