Windows 10 released 29 July have reserved my copy that will be windows 10 Pro they are offering it to a lot of windows users win7/8.1 and windows phone if you qualify for the upgrade. Looking I see for win 7 you must have sp1 to qualify. It has some good features but some you don't get like media player(i don't use it)will not work with win 10 plus you get a brand new search engine lets hope it is better than the latest internet explorer that stops working a lot of the time. I see nothing has been said about iTunes the win8 upgrade you had to switch iTunes off then back on after you had done the upgrade I will run the compatible tool nearer the time to find out what software I have that will not work or will need updating or will not work at all with win 10 when I upgraded to win 7 there was not a lot of problems so hoping win 10 upgrade runs as smooth. As far as I am aware there should be no problems famous last words lol.
I will say some had problems with rfactor when they upgraded to win 8 but I did not have one problem when I upgraded rfactor worked fine.
I will try the upgrade to Win 10 thats for sure and i have read you can downgrade to your old system if the new OS makes trouble. What want you more
I did see that you will be allowed to copy win 10 on to disk as well to use again if you have any trouble and want to reinstall My pc came with win 7 that I have on my pc in a separate hard drive so I could always revert back to that plus I have the key for win8 was on special offer so bought it as well so could reinstall that as an option. win 10 does sound like a huge fix for the windows operating system as I know a lot upgraded to win 8 but had huge problems.
Well they should of given a free upgrade of win 7 to vista owners because that was the worst operating system Microsoft released and they had a lot of bad press and complaints to say that win 7 owners should of had win 7 as a free upgrade may be that might have something to do with it maybe? I had vista not good. So now offering it to win 8 owners . Win 8 is not bad but not as good I don't think as 7 Just have to wait and see what it is like especially as Microsoft are saying it will work with your existing software will have to wait and see if they are right.
I think widows 8 is pretty crap unless you like using touch screens (personally I don't have a touchscreen computer) That said I have reserved my Windows 10 copy. Microsofts systems tend to have a pattern, every other software is rubbish and windows 8 was that "other" so was vista etc. so Windows 10 should be good. I hope
It looks impressive lets hope it is as good as all the hype Microsoft are saying about it. One thing that will be impressive if true is a really quick pc boot up but time will tell lets get it on our pc's then we can be the judge if it is better than previous operating systems. I just hope Microsoft release win 10 with no bugs so there is not a massive update a couple of days after the release like previous operating systems.
I just hope we are not disappointed when it is released because going by what Microsoft are saying it is there best operating system yet?
I had no snags upgrading at all. I like it but there are things I don't however it's better than windows 8 so I am happy in that aspect. I did have a few hiccups not too long after upgrading as with the random updates they do they manged to uninstall my sound card and has frozen once. But it's not bad. I suggest everyone makes sure they go to the update settings and disallows the updates seeding download speeds to others.
